To whom it may concern, I did contract this company. I wrote a check in the amount of: $ One thousand two-hundred and thirty two dollars. The check was cashed, and because of a family emergency involving one of my daughters I had to cancel the contract( less than three days). I not only called this compnay but I explained the reason, the total job was for over Two Thousand dollars. I had to cancel the contract because of a family emergency involving my daughter.The owner stated he would send a check in the mail and I did assure him I would use his company for the fence in the future. I would not have been able to pay for the rest of the job. I totally understand about contracts, but the company should understand that emergencies do happen. I have called and called for over 10 days and still no check, and now not even a return call. I know this is the not the fault of the ServiceMagic company(website) however, I thought you may be interested in knowing the type of company you have been offering to consumers. I have never been more angry and so disapointed about a business. I will also contact the better business bureau, and if I have to, the news media. Then I will if I have to, go to court. I am a single parent with two kids in college one of whom I need to take care of now. I cannot believe this is or was a pre-screened company. I just thought you might want to know. Michele Dettore
