Reviews
Write a ReviewIt has been awful-substandard hired subs with no supervision-subs who drink alcohol while working and leave all trash strewn all over acres of property. None of the subs have started or completed jobs on time or even in a reasonable amount of time. Don is extremely confrontational and not very approachable. No one who works for him speaks well about him. Personally telling me to contact his wife to order an appliance and then hours later screaming at me on the phone for asking such a question. Other people in the trade have expressed the incompetency of Ambassador & their subs even going so far as to say their work is not up to code. The mistakes his subs make cost homeowners so much time and money. Dependability and reliability are out of the question. So much frustration with this process. I question the legitimacy of the reviews here; they appear staged. We have documented conversations in which requests were made but they were either ignored or Don did the complete opposite of what was requested. Never any apologies.

I would highly recommend Don from Ambassador Homes to build your custom home. They are a true custom builder that can meet your budget. When you say in Texas that you are building a home, well this is real custom building one-on-one with the builder, not like your everyday tract home builder. I found him on the HomeAdvisor website. He was the only builder that responded to my search and on the same day. However, he does get pretty busy. In my case, I had to wait for him to complete another project but he contacted me back as promised and it was worth the wait. Once we started the project, he was always available. I did not feel that I have to compete for his time knowing that he has other building projects going at the same time. The engineering background of Don also comes into play. He has a reputation that he builds strong and sturdy homes. He has a lot of say with the building process. The framers have additional support beams required, they even named them after him. In the end, you will move to a house with so many upgraded features and design that you never expected for the cost of the house you built. It was such a fun experience that I still enjoy thinking about it, even if it happened three years ago. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
I would recommend Ambassador Homes to anyone. Their experience and quality work made our forever home a reality. The owner, Don Little, is there from the first step to the last to ensure your home is built to the highest standards.
Ambassador Homes went above and beyond my expectations. Having never built a custom home before, we appreciated Mr. Little's guidance and expertise along the way. The project was completed in a timely manner with minimal delays due to weather. I would highly recommend Ambassador Homes for any building/remodeling projects.
While arranging the demolition of my old house, an 80 year old city water drainage pipe was discovered underneath my house. It took the city over two years to reroute the pipe so Ambassador Homes could proceed. During this time Ambassador Homes went above and beyond to act on my behalf with city officials and vendors. I highly recommend Ambassador Homes to any one who wants a well built custom home.
They were extremely helpful and extremely truthful.
They did a great job and I would recommend them.
