Traditional Tile Roofing Repair
Repair on my clay tile roof leak was completed in a few hours. Am very happy with the job, workers were very neat and removed all debris from my property. Workers showed up on time. Would use this company again.

Traditional Tile Roofing Repair
I had used Ambatt on 3 separate occasions. 1st time my turbine was not working, a young fellow went to roof and put WD 40 on it and told me no charge, very surprising but appreciated . 2nd time I had a leak in roof call out did a wonderful job fair price job well done.This last call for them to come out never received a call back called 3 different times finally talked to Brenda I was told John would get back to me,still waiting. I truly hope this was an oversight for I really like working with them and hope all is well. Did get called back and everything is great now! Very happy with work done for me ! Will use them again!

The minimum charge of $250 was outrageous just to replace two roof tiles

"Dear Mr. L; Roofing is dangerous work. Our men do what others won't do, risk their lives everyday, thus the reason that our WC & Liability is so high. The cost just to come out to a customers home to provide a free estimate is approximately $100 to us, then to return to complete the work is that much more, so we don't make a profit on these but is done as a courtesy which many roofing companies will not do. All service companies have these minimums to cover costs. We always recommend getting estimates from other companies so you have choices. We would recommend considering a 'handyman' but most are not experienced or licensed to do roofing."

John came out to replace a skylight that we thought was not impact glass, until he advised us that in fact it was. That alone was enough for me to hire him for our next roofing job.

The project was very simple. Other vendors came in with unrealistic quotes and seemed to not be interested in the job. John always showed up at the promised time and treated this project as an important one. All the documentation required by the insurance company was provided by Ambatt without any extra cost. Other companies wanted to charge for certifications, reports and liability insurance. I would recommend Ambatt to anyone and will certainly use them in the future.

I agreed on one price but in the course of installing the skylight Ambatt workers found damage that added $400 to the final cost. I do not know if this was completely justified and that is why I have given only three stars for value for money. However, the workers were prompt and courteous and the final bill still came out to less than the others recommended by your service.

"Hi Gale, thank you for your feedback. Our estimator makes his best effort to provide an accurate estimate based on what is visable at the time. However, there are rare occasions where damages is there, but be seen until after the roofing materials are removed , this is beyond our control. John always shows the customer or takes photos of the damage so the customer can see what's there. It's unfortunately,and John is such a nice guy that he doesn't charge a profit on it, but only charges the cost to actually do the extra work needed. So it's unfortunate for us to get a negative review from it,& for you as the homeowner to indure the extra cost"

It is not often that you find a contractor that will do what they say they will do. John Davis is a true professional and delivers as promised. He kept us informed through the entire process from permitting to the completion of the job. We had our three skylights replaced and up-graded to Miami-Dade windstorm specs. Everything came out perfect and on time. I cannot say enough about John & Brenda Davis and Ambatt Roofing. His workers are a reflection of his professionalism. Praise for John Davis, president, Ambatt Roofing: We had a water leak and several roofers came to give free estimates. When John came and saw where the leak was, he felt that caulking around the windows would probably take care of the problem. We caulked, and other roofers came and gave estimates with differing opinions, all costing hundreds of dollars. So I called John back and told him about the estimates, and he offered to come back again -- at no charge -- and go on the roof. He said the caulking job looked good, and he didn't really see another problem that required an immediate fix. As both a female ad senior, I worry about being a victim of unscrupulous contractors, so can't tell you how refreshing it was to meet John. I really appreciated his honesty and would definitely use him when a roofing need arises. Bottom line: I trust him.

John came out the next day to examine my roof and did a very thorough job. He had to find tiles that matched the profile of the existing roof tiles that needed replacing and advised me that the company no longer made the same color combination. The profile was more important so I had him purchase a bunch of them so the next time he comes out to repair my roof, it will not become tri-color. John is great and his work is impeccible.

John and crew did a nice job and guaranteed the work. John and his crew supervisor were also very professional, down-to-earth, and pleasant to deal with. John communicated when he would arrive and arrived as scheduled, and the cost was reasonable.
