HVAC install new build. Plans show upright unit 10? from concrete front porch. Installed side-exhaust unit blowing on porch ? forming ice and desiccating plants. To redirect exhaust, we built 4? high fence around unit, meeting setbacks verified by Mitsubishi. Worked during construction heating to 50F. Next winter, heating to 68F, ice formed on house and under unit until toppled. Refused to correct without additional payment. Competitor devised solution we implemented ?wind baffle, gap fence slats, drip pan, pipe drainage away, install outlet/place heat rod in pan to keep condensate liquid so drains away. Since posting, AmeriCool blamed everything except the main cause: poor placement of unit contradicting install reqs in manual. They needed to identify during rough in that location would not work so could be redirected to one of many alternative locations. AmeriCool hreatened legal action if we post reviews. How will they treat you?

While the cost was comparable to other vendors, I had some extra electrical work to do. The electrician with Americool was able to accurately quote the additional work when no other companies would. The ductless system was installed in one day and went very fast. Very professional.

They were the best value. Our system was 80% paid for my the previous home owners. Some items that were on the estimate were not completed and the crew had to come back and do the job. The HVAC system then did not pass inspection. Was the money saved worth the headache?.... In my opinion yes. The system works great and there were only a few bumps in the road. BUT watch the crew and be sure that you are getting what you pay for.

We have lived in our house for 17 years and because of the vaulted ceilings, our home has always been difficult to evenly heat. Now, it is the most comfortable that it has ever been! When Frank Richmond came out to give us a bid, he not only inspected the ducting in the crawlspace, but he took note of our high ceilings and went over all of the best heating and cooling options available to us. He showed us the best recommendations for our type of house and then let us decide for ourselves, which would be the best option for us. When it came time to install the equipment, the crew was here 30 minutes earlier than planned and were very eager and professional in their installation. They were very knowledgeable and asked questions about what we wanted, so that they could fulfill the contract accordingly. There were a couple of things that were not done properly; BUT as soon as the company was informed of this, they quickly came back out and remedied the situation and apologized for the mistakes. (Note: None of the mistakes affected the equipment or its installation, rather they were of a cosmetic nature, which were easily remedied.) They also sent out another representative a week later to see if everything was done to our satisfaction and even improved upon the installation by installing further support in the crawlspace for the pipes! I definitely recommend Americool for any heating and cooling needs anyone may have. As I said previously, our house has never been as comfortable as it is now! And with the new heat pump, we are excited for the hot weather to return, so that we can experience how cool our house can be! Sincerely, Brian L. Hanson

The salesman, office staff and the installers were a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time and worked so well together that they finished ahead of schedule. The cleaned up the area and left everything in great shape. I love my new heating and cooling unit.

His brand of HVAC was highly rated by Consumer Reports and his price was about 40% less than the closest competitor (I had three estimates). If anyone needs a new HVAC, this is the outfit I highly recommend.

Americool was timely and easy to work with. The problem I encountered was that the Inspector who came out from the power company for my rebate found electrical work that was not done. The employee who provided my estimate was not aware of the need for the electrical work. They are requesting that I pay a portion of the additional cost for this work which was not in my budget for this project. This was their mistake and it is not my responsibility to pay for their mistakes.

Frank the salesman was forthcoming and provided good information. The installers worked all day and got the job done, cleaned up well, and showed us around the equipment so we could operate it. Well done all around.

They were on time and very professional. They showed me any problems I had with heating ducts under the house. They sealed and repaired all the heating ducts, plus they repaired a broken dryer vent, and moved a heat register that was in an odd place. I am very pleased with their service and would hire them again.
