We hired Doug Williams to inspect a cottage we were buying late last year. Doug spent a lot of time with my husband to give a very thorough inspection of the property. After we received his very detailed report, I had many questions which were answered completely (including recommendations and costs for areas of major concern) Doug is extremely knowledge and has been in the construction business for many years so he knows what he is talking about. He always responded to my emails and phone calls and remains available to us if and when we are need of his valued opinion again. I would highly recommend his services above and beyond any others as he has earned our trust from the first point of contact.

He is a con artist, takes your money and is not finishing the work. Paid him to remove the asbestos, and is sitting on my yard and my porch, he never took at away.

Doug is very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He was able to inspect three properties in one day and provide some great input regarding the three very different properties. My only issue was that he was often somewhat slow in responding to voice/e-mail. In addition, the inspection report did not have a friendly format.

Doug came out for our h ok me inspection on extremely short notice after we were stood up by another inspector. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, provided the written report immediately after the inspection, and was courteous enough to have his construction company provide us with estimates to address his findings that we could bring back to the sellers. He turned what began as a very sour situation into a very positive one and I would recommend him to anyone that asks.

I bought a house built in 1910 because I adore old houses and the history in them. Doug shared that appreciation and his inspection was full of explanations of why the home was constructed the way it was or what this or that was used for. He gave advice as to where I might look for treasures and remnants from past residents and shared experiences he had with his older home. He was thorough and knowledgeable but he was also incredibly informative and a pleasure to work with.

I hired Doug from American Home & Environmental for a home inspection of a property we are purchasing in Provincetown. He was extremely proactive & responsive in planning the inspection, but even more importantly, he was VERY thorough ! He reported a great list of issues, some of them code violations, which we were able to then address with the seller to resolve. There is no doubt in my mind, I would for sure hire him again !!
