American Pool Liners

Overall they did a great job! There were some scheduling issues to work through but they got someone out and did the job well.

Large stock of items. Had liner in stock and provided us with a list of installers. Busy time of year but installers completed the project in a reasonable time.

customer service was not good. Response time was not prompt.

Needed it replaced within 2 years. Installer was great. Be careful of salesman.

Good overall work

A contractor for American Pool liners came out with two teenage boys and said there was a leak somewhere in the plumbing/piping. the next day they said they repaired leak connected to the skimmer and proceeded to replace the liner. A few weeks later, the seems started coming apart and the leak does not appear to be fixed! couldn't get the contractor to come back and no response from the American pool. Did not try to open the pool this year until July. The sides of vinyl are all apart at the seams and is a total disaster! Need new liner and leak fixed! no help from American Pool!

If I could give zero stars I would. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They have horrible salesmen, customer service, and installers. They messed up on measuring our liner and made us wait a month to get the new liner. The liner they put in was still incorrect and has white spots from being stretched to thin. They do not like to call anyone back.

Took much longer to install a new liner than estimated. New liner has a wrinkle. Company charges more for lifetime warranty but have not needed to use it as it is only been a year so we will see down the road.

First, the liner is really beautiful and seems to be very well-made. Second, they did (eventually) make it right. But, we really lost most of our possibly last summer with the pool. We signed contract for a new liner on 5/31/19. We were not in a rush - did not need it by July 4th, but salesman put to install by July 4 if possible. Good price - within our budget. Install was done on June 28 - and we paid entire balance at that time (as required). NOW - they have your money. A few days later, when the pool was full, the liner was pulling away from the pool wall all along one side. This was the original reason I replaced the liner, FYI. I called and spoke with customer service who reassured me that this happens, it is not uncommon, I do not need to empty the pool and that someone would be coming within a day or two to perform a **re-snap** I was told someone would be coming on Friday July 5, then Sunday July 7 - and no one came. Someone finally came July 9th (with no courtesy **we are not going to make it** calls in between mind you). Upon examining the problem, that person, who was not the same person who installed the liner originally, pronounced that the liner was probably the incorrect liner for my pool and also the installer had not done a proper job. I was told the pool will need to be emptied more than halfway for this to be fixed but **I am busy this whole week so cannot get to it until maybe next week** I was told that the original installer should be held accountable and have to come to fix it. Oh, and by the way, this person actually had the nerve to tell me **but do not tell them I told you all this** Of course, I told him **it is the FIRST thing I am telling them, and I am dialing them now** This person then left me without resolving a single thing. From there, I played phone tag with customer service woman (who honestly tried her best), spoke with the Operations manager who said we would get a new liner, and finally got to a VP, who told me that my new liner was in and that when we were ready, after the season was over, they would install it. Again, we were told it was safe to swim; but really, it is not like I would invite family or friends to swim when I felt like we all had to be **careful**. I was told to reach out when we were ready to close, and they would schedule the installation. So I did (reach out) and what do you think? I was told the liner would take 3-4 weeks to be made. After the VP had told me it was already in-house. No surprise there honestly. So, eventually the liner was in, and we scheduled the day for the installation (by the person who originally installed the last liner - I know - I like to live life on the edge - and guess what? He did not show up the day he said he would. This, after my husband spent the entire week slowly emptying the pool to be ready for the installation. So, finally, the liner was installed, and we closed the pool. I told the VP I was waiting to submit a review. So here it is. I honestly do not know if the liner is the right one - the pool is closed, but in the Spring I am praying I do not need to deal with these folks again. I think I would rather take the pool down. In summary, OK customer service (she tried and was, initially, quite responsive); LOUSY service; GOOD value for the liner, which is beautiful.

Not on time but if give them time get the job done and do pretty good job

Please do not hire them. The worst service I have ever had. Contractor Tom rarely would respond to my calls and when he did, he would be condecendent to say the least. Changing a lining took over a month and plenty of no shows. Did not assemble the pieces that the took off. Main office in Neptune NJ, is horrible as well. Their main focus is to protect themselves not to support to the client. Please look at the BBB page and note that they have over 26 complaints. That means something.

Very helpful with our project.

Jeff Mansur was the salesman he was very knowledgeable and explanatory. He gave me a time frame of 4 weeks was actually completed in 3 weeks. The installer was Marquez Manuel he did a great quick job Perfection in less than a day. I was very satisfied from beginning to end.

Installer did a good job but what a mess they left, screws, nails all by the new liner, did not wrap old liner as contract stated, used my electrical cord and hoses and never put them back, never showed the time promised, 4 hours later and no phone call to inform us, which would have been all we needed. When I called the office three times, no return calls. After waiting all day on a Thursday they could not finish so said would be back Monday!! I know they work hard in hot weather, but I would not just go with a liner only company again. I would use a pool contractor that does the complete job as the repairs needed had to be done by another pool person.

A little pricey, but nice product and nice install

They did a pretty good job! The only issue that I have is a crease on the liner in the shallow end of the pool and Im not sure if theyll fix it.

Be careful. The pool liner is awesome , but the salesman never did anything he said he was going to do. Came back after the pool liner was installed to get tax money from my husband; he told us at the time of the sale, that there was no sales tax. Promised all sort of things for the pool, which of course never materialized. Look elseware

I hired Paul in February of 2018, they installed the pool liner in June of 2018, the liner was installed wrong, paid 2500.00 for the liner, which included a lifetime warranty, we have been trying to call them since them, I finally received a call from the company and he said they would look in to it, no sense of urgency

I hired American Pool liners to replace my in-ground pool liner in the summer of 2018. They were very friendly and replaced my pool liner with no problem. Then I noticed towards the end of the season, the top of the pool liner started to break away from the walls. I called them to fix it, and they said someone would come out to fix it and no one ever showed up. I called and called for months and either it goes to the answering machine or a person says someone will call you to make an appointment and no one ever calls. This liner has a lifetime warranty and is three times more expensive that other liners, but because of the lifetime warranty, I decided to go with them. Now I have to pay another pool liner company to fix the problem. I reported them to BBB, and now have to take them to court to get my money back for hiring another company to honor their lifetime guarantee. Stay away from this company. They will promise you everything until they get your money and you will never hear from them again!

We had the worst experience ever. Avoid hiring this company.They are not honoring the warranty. The work is sloppy, rude and unprofessional. They are dishonest and told us to put a glowing review in order to come out and fix the pool liner. Still the liner is not fixed and do not know if it can be fix.

The salesman Marty promised that our liner would be installed by June 5th in time for a graduation party. He did not return phone calls or text messages. The liner was installed on June 14th the day before the party. The installer did a great job but this did not solve our problem of having an operating pool for our event. American Pool Liners did not return calls when contacted since Marty did not feel it was necessary to provide excellent customer service since they had their money. Do not hire them if you want the truth and a company that follows their contract. Their installer Bobby was great but he is a subcontractor and he cared. Steer clear of American Pool Liners.

This was a mess from the beginning when the salesman did not show up and never called to reschedule. Trying to get a hold of anyone is a joke you speak to no one only leave messages on voicemail and then sit and wait. When people finally call you back they have no answers say they will check it out and wait again. Finally are liner is in and Installers left out pool not in the same shape they found it in...text and called installers on Wednesday we called Thursday and it is Saturday and once again we are still waiting for a callback. The running of this business is unacceptable!! I will be contacting the better business bureau..perhaps that will prompt your company to respond. I will never recommend this company to anyone. I am extremely sorry we went with you and will tell anyone who will listen this story.

Very professional to work with going to install next week

They did a very poor job. Pool is leaking, and they are refusing to fix the problem. The liner is already pulling away from the track. Do not hire these people. They put the liner in, took the money and do not care if the pool is functional or not. It cannot be stressed enough not to use these people.
