American Quality Landscapes is a locally owned company that takes pride in serving the community in everything we do. We realize the first thing you see when you walk out the front door is your yard, as well when you get home from a long day of work. There is a large amount of time and activities that create joy and fulfillment spent in your yard anywhere from just relaxing to a family BBQ. We will create a beautiful landscape with lush green grass that you can be proud of and truly enjoy with family and friends. We are experts in our trade and will always keep you educated on your particular task or project. We also have a Professional Arborist on hand that will help make the proper pruning and or removal of your trees as painless and efficient as possible. We have the ability to grind the stumps down and remove all remaining debris. Tree Removal and Pruning is a year round event that we are more than willing to assist with. We look forward to earning your business!

How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because my passions are serving God, my family, creating businesses to glorify God, and the outdoors. I'm the lucky and proud husband to my wife Megan and father to my son Bentley and daughter Brooklyn. Each day I try to live life for a higher purpose to serve my community weather its through work or walking through the grocery store. I love people and still have faith in our humanity “not one person can change the world but each person can change themselves” I have been landscaping for 15 years and truly love creating art with land and I believe I can bring joy and fulfilment to my customers and employees through landscaping. They did an excellent job! They were on time and cleaned up all of the branches and debris when they finished. They drove equipment across my yard and were careful not to damage my lawn. The crew worked together and got the job done. I will definitely be using their tree services again. Great job!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the state in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Businesses will not be admitted to the network if their owners or principals have the following felonies in their available criminal records*:

Arson

Assault/domestic violence/battery

Child abuse

Intimidation/terrorist threats

Kidnapping/abduction

Lewd and lascivious behavior

Manslaughter/murder/homicide/vehicular homicide

Rape/incest

Robbery/carjacking

Sex offenses

Other felonies not listed above that occurred in the past seven years

Contracting without a license in the past seven years

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened biennially.

How is COVID-19 impacting the HomeAdvisor background check program?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several government agencies and courts across the country have temporarily closed their offices. Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
