STOP AND READ before hiring this company!!! Actually better yet...DONT HIRE THEM! Subpar work, Random cost increases, AND Unprofessional behavior! I read all the previous reviews, and partly based my decision to hire American Refacing because of them, and now I believe it is important to share my experience. PLEASE get every single detail in writing and print out pictures of inspirations or designs. Do not allow ANY VERBAL conversations to be part of your remodeling plan with this company. I dismissed the lack of follow-up from American Refacing before starting and should NOT have on any level. But they are supposed to be the experts, and I thought my designs wld be followed! Especially after I had shared pics with Steve (the owner) during the quote and measuring appointments. Sadly that was just the start of my issues with Steve. American Refacings own quote documentation states every change or additional work will be in written form and signed by both parties. Well that NEVER happened for me! I only received the initial quote version and moved forward based on that. Steve was in my home everyday for two weeks and only made verbal comments about issues or difficulties. Never once stating anything about increase costs. But somehow my design and details kept changing. Even as I addressed certain items that arose, Steves resolution was passive aggressive at best. He certainly withheld any conversations about cost increases, he would just make random comments throughout. On the last day, when final payment was due, it was presented to me on a piece of notebook paper, and listed minimal details. The total was an increase of $2,600 MORE than my quote. Not a small increase to me! My shock was visible, and started asking questions. He then boldface lied and said he had told me about the additional charges of the following; 2nd paint color total due to # of coats, sink total and shipping cost, tile install increase and additional cut of countertop piece. His statement is just NOT true, and he had a lie for every answer. I had expected some of the additions, yet it seems he decided to add random increases due to his lack of ability, workmanship and planning! Buyer Beware seems like the appropriate warning with him and his company! So inclusion... the issues began right from the start, with incorrect crown molding & size, incorrect hood vent design, Backsplash removal and installation problems, and multiple other finishing details. I wld list more details if allowed, but there is character limit. This was a very hard and expensive lesson to learn. I am not sure where his attention to detail went, but please rethink your remodeling choices before hiring him! Just so unprofessional and, it could have all been avoided! Of course additional costs or changes will absolutely be part of a remodel, but working with a company or an individual that decides he can randomly add whatever costs he chooses and change design choices without communicating any of it, is so unprofessional and unethical! Sadly not exactly the experience I expected!

Buddy did a great work. There was just a slight confusion in regards to the selection of hardware but I ended up with the ones I had wished for.

American Refacing recently completed our kitchen and we couldnâ t be happier. We had our bottom cabinets refaced and new upper cabinets installed. Buddy (owner) made several suggestions to re configure our cabinets to give us much needed storage in our small kitchen. In these crazy times itâ s good to know that Buddy is a one man show. He prices out the job, does the measuring, builds the cabinets himself and installs them himself. Other companies will send a salesman, another guy to measure, and then installers. Lotâ s of potential for finger pointing in my opinion whereas Buddy takes responsibility for every step. Buddy shows up when he says he is and leaves the work space spotless every day. Buddy is a craftsman who takes great pride in his work....I highly recommend his company.

Since the first quote for our job, Buddy was friendly and confident he could improve and update our kitchen. He said the job would take about 7 days, it took 7 days! He showed up every day when he said he would, he cleaned up thoroughly after each day, and the kitchen looks like a brand new kitchen! I would highly recommend Buddy!

Buddy was truly a joy to work with. He was courteous, professional, and friendly. I needed to replace old worn out falling apart shelving and he designed, built, and installed new custom built shelving that fits perfectly in the room.

Buddy was very professional. He removed the old cabinets and installed my new cabinets. This contractor was on time, worked without constant breaks, neat and disposed of old cabinets. He was able to complete the job on time as promised and left the work site neat and clean upon completion. I would definitely recommend this contractor and have to others for cabinet installation.
