I would not classify this company as a Pro as they are misleading in what services you are receiving. as a first-time homeowner trying to find a trusted to help with a suspected mold issue. This involved repairs to my ceiling after a roof leak and possible mold in the crawl space. After receiving estimates and a few phone conversations, I explained I only needed the ceiling inside fixed for now. As of today, I find out there was actually a little bit of information no one mentioned. They quote you the price to come in, tear down the ceiling, remove the mold and insulation, put plastic up, and set up dryers to dry up any moisture. After all of that, you must go through round 2 of getting an estimate and paying more money to get them to actually fix the hole in the ceiling that was left from the mold removal. Now, if you have no idea what mold removal entails, how to fix a ceiling where the water damage has happened, the cost associated with such a fix, or know that the first repair estimate does not really mean to fix your issue, you are like me. The amount of money charged, for my first home repair, was quite a bit. Maybe I am and have a lot to learn, but the amount seemed to be enough to fix the issue completely. I decided to pay out of pocket. Lesson learned to get several quotes to prevent these from happening in the future and go with your insurance because they know how this goes and what to expect. The biggest complaint I have is what I was told was misleading and their response seems like they could careless of the misunderstanding. When this happens, it is usually because they have heard this complaint before, and everyone knows there is a lack of clarity, but no one fixes it. I have spoken with 2 people today about not knowing about the second go around. The first one simply added my complaint to his notes after calling someone and the other said, well it was in the email we send when we provide the estimate and if you change your mind on the repairs let us know. I found the email they referred to and it states: These estimates do not include any repair costs that will be associated with these areas once drying is completed. I also found in the document they leave you What happens next? nothing about 2 separate estimates. Interestingly, Step 4 states that the paint may not be an exact match. This is what you read prior to learning what drying to them means. Drying to me simply meant the paint is dry on the repair and they have completed the work. I just caution people who use this company to read and research what you need to be done. They are not a trusted advisor to take you through educating you on the complete process when it comes to your repairs. Needless to say, I will not be using them to help with the crawl space since I have no idea what round 2 of that would cost me or if there is any fine print.

I was referred to American Water Damage by a plumber with another company who came to my home to service a major water leak. American Water Damage has just begun the process, but so far I have been having a pleasant experience. The office personnel was very friendly and went above and beyond to schedule my appointment that same day. Jeff, project manager, came out a couple of hours later for the free consultation. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and showed great concern for my issue. A day later, Walter, remediation technician, came to assess the damage and met with my insurance adjuster. I was very impressed with both of their knowledge, concern and thoroughness. Walter assured me that his team could start the mitigation process the next day, and he was a man of his word. His fantastic team, Malik, Anavie and Joey, arrived at my home early that next morning. The minute they entered my home, they went to work. Malik, the lead, assessed the situation, explained to me what the team was going to do, and instructed Anavie and Joey where to start. They worked diligently for hours only taking a few minutes for lunch. All of them were friendly, professional, thorough and hard working. From what I can tell, they did excellent work in demolishing and treating the disaster area. They also cleaned up the area to perfection. We are only on phase one of my process, and I am extremely satisfied thus far, especially with water mitigation. My fingers are crossed that the repair process will go as smoothly. If so, I will be writing another awesome review to recommend this company. Keep up the great work and may God continue to bless your establishment!

Technician conducted testing and said he would contact me within 24 to 48 hours. 96 hours later still waiting on results. health issues were reason for mold testing. They don't care about my health issues and I don't care about their service. Home Advisor struck out on all three services I contacted them about.

Because they came over and saw the situation, we had the big dehumidifiers over later that afternoon, and it likely helped us avoid mildew. We also worked with our insurance to cover it.
