Fridge, Freezer or Ice Maker Repair or Service
$150
First they advised no service call charge. Then advised it was a broken heating element on the stove because the oven could not be used. Said they would have the part in 1 day. Gave them $50.00 deposit. Part received 3 days later. They cam to the house to install it,,,stove still did not work. They then advised it was the clock not the element and the part was no longer made. Then to add insult to injury, they kept my part deposit asnd said it was a service call charge. I paid for nothing and they did not know what they were doing. Then to keep my deposit and tell me it was a service call charge.
Response from Amy's Appliance Repair
"This is not true what so ever we offer a free service charge with repair meaning if we repair the appliance we don't charge a service charge. The stove had multiple problems and it is over 15 years old and the part she needed isn't no longer available I told her that the service charge would be charged and if there was money left over I would issue a refund. There's nothing free in this world"

unreturned phone calls, missed appointments, rude customer service. They did make it right in the end, but after so much time and energy spent to get results, i can't recommend them. Save yourself the hassle and hire someone else.

Amy's was the first call I got after I submitted my request for service on line - which was on a Sunday afternoon. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday. They were not on time, but called to inform us they would be late. The problem with the clothes washer was diagnosed quickly and they came back the next day with the part to fix it.

They were calling me before I was completely finished on the computer completing my request. They came the next day, at the time they promised & worked quickly, explaining what they were doing & why. Good prompt service.

I was charged $289.00 to fix a refigrator compressor relay. The tech. told me the relay costs $223 and the rest is labor cost. When the tech. left, I researched and found out that I got ripped off. The relay only costs around $37.00 to replace. I would never use or recommend this company again.
Response from Amy's Appliance Repair
"the customer was advised of the cost of repair and agreed with no problems and as far as the part is concerned we replaced three parts not just one. and the cost is the average cost"

They called right away to schedule the apt but didn't call or show up until the day AFTER the scheduled apt. They called and then showed up 24 hours after the promised apt time. They looked at my dishwasher problem and told me that the supply line had been touching the motor and had burnt the line causing it to leak. Not true, it was the supply line but it was punctured (a pin hole). We did not have them fix it because to fix it we would have to pay another service charge of $89 plus parts because the person who came out to find out what was wrong didn't have any tools or basic parts to fix the problem. I wasn't told of this fee.
Response from Amy's Appliance Repair
"this is not true at all my service charges range by area of $29.95- $49.95 i have never charged any fee of $89 and would never quote such a charge"

Highly disturbed by the amount we were charged, the parts cost was $55.00 and the bill came to $398. Called company and she (Amy) said she was going to look into it and call today, but no call from her or email to followup. We feel like we were taken advantage of at this point and know that we will never use this company They love to take your money but not when you question the bill.
Response from Amy's Appliance Repair
"customer was aware of charges and signed invoice of acknowledgment to repair and then decided to buy a new one after parts had been installed"

Amy was not a repair shop for tabletop mixers but helped me locate someone who was. Very helpful, courteous and expedient in responding. Will keep her in mind for future problems.

After some mix up with our phone calls they were definitely worth it. The rep was friendly and the repairman was honest about what was previously done to our dryer by Maytag. (NOTHING!!!) Our machine works better than it ever has, the garage is so hot that it feels like a laundry mat and the money spent was worth it because the dryer works so well that it takes less time to dry our clothes. thanks again Amy's Appliance Repair. pat

I had a feeling, that the people who came out to repair my washing machine did not know what they are talking about; after looking at my washing machine they said that the gears were shot, the replacement would cost about $400 and it is better to buy a new one, charged me $50.00 dollars and left. I did order a new machine with Best Buy. Before installing a new machine they opened the front of the old one, looked around, made sure everything was well connected and in place, put it back together, and guess what... My old Washing Machine has been working fine for one week so far without any problems My rating of Amy's? ... I really want my $50 back.
