I had a mixed experience with Andrew Williams Design. The design phase was excellent. Most of the contractors did an excellent job. However, no one seemed to be in charge of quality control, and no one was in charge of keeping the project on schedule. The project took twice as long as promised, and not everything was completed satisfactorily as promised.

Andrew is awesome. Andrew is a real designer with top notch crews. This project is not completed yet but, it is exactly on schedule. It's going so smooth I almost can't quite believe it. We're doing our kitchen remodeling in stages. Stage 1 is in progress and I couldn't be more pleased. The electrical and cabinet crews we're just as awesome!

I hired Andrew Williams to provide plans to renovate an attic into a loft space. I explained that I wanted to start work on the project as soon as possible, and was informed that plans could be ready within a few weeks. This was back at the end of May. It is now the end of August. Mr. Williams did not meet a single deadline for turning around these plans, deadlines which he himself gave me. Furthermore, the deadlines would pass with no communication from Mr. Williams to explain the delay or provide a new date, unless I contacted him directly. Even then, it often took multiple emails before I heard back from him, even after I expressed a request that if he miss a future deadline that he communicate with me about it. (This was after he said his CAD person had a hospitalization of a family member, as I am sympathetic to this, but he should have provided a revised deadline). The final plans are still incorrect and I feel like I've wasted a great deal of time, money, and effort with him.

"Thanks Cora! An attic conversion with new staircase is one of the more complicated designs we do. One of the challenges was getting into the attic space for measuring. Additionally the staircase is a system we always like to do according to the building code-as far width, tread, and riser size---You were asking for an out-of-code system, so we were hesitant to present that. Thanks for understanding that my CAD designer had to deal with his Mom's illness for a week or so-----and we had to dig out after that. I regret any lack of communication on my part. And I hope your project turned out great---please send pictures when its done! I appreciate your business. Andrew"

He was just great to work with! Redesign and remodel of my entire kitchen. We will be doing our master bathroom and will call him when we are ready!! Our kitchen won some local awards and was in a magazine because of it!!
