Anthony & Sylvan Pools

We've just broken ground for the pool, so I'll have to wait and see how that goes. So far, though, I'm extremely pleased with them. Not pushy, willing to go through the costs items by item, so I can make an informed financial decision. They ACTUALLY seem to want to please me and my family with a great pool.

RUN, don't walk, away from Anthony & Sylvan. I don't know how this company is still in business. The 9 months it took to build our pool was an absolute nightmare. Extremely poor communication and totally apathetic attitude from everyone involved with the process. They don't even try to hide the fact that they simply don't care. And it doesn't get any better once your pool is complete. We went through 3 project managers, each one worse than the last. Our current PM, Gabriel Hodge, fell off the face of the earth. I can't stop laughing at the reviewer who called him "hands down the best project manager ever". Must be a family member. We've been trying to get in touch with him since the end of March with no response to phone calls, voicemails or texts. We finally gave up on him. I managed to get ahold of our construction scheduler, Cynthia, who agreed to help me with our punch list of items that still need repair (our pool deck is cracking and peeling off after only 3 months, mismatched paint on our stucco pool skirt, broken flagstone/grout around the spa). I sent her photos and the punch list items, and she assured me she would get these scheduled for repair and they were booking out about two weeks. Well, that was a month ago and not only have we not had any repairs done, she's gone MIA as well. I've emailed and left several voicemails with no response. I've tried calling Dan Barrett, who's listed as the General Manager for San Antonio, multiple times and the phone just rings and rings and rings, no answer and no voicemail. For days now, I've tried calling just about every single phone number listed on the website for San Antonio, Austin and Houston and LITERALLY NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE. I wouldn't recommend A&S to my worst enemy. Just awful.

Anthony & Sylvan is by far the worst company I have ever worked with...hands down. Let me be very clear in that I am not stating they are the worst pool company or even contractor, but the WORST COMPANY. Total lack of communication and professionalism right up to the top. Gavin Bruno and his crew don't care about their clients or their work...clearly. Our pool took longer to complete than our 3700sq ft home and the mess in the photos you see on this review are what they consider complete. Trash left onsite, clear issues with browncoat and plaster, exposed bonding wire, etc. etc. Multiple requests for follow up and we're still dealing with what you see in these photos three months later. I would not recommend this "company" to my worst enemies and suggest everyone stay far, far away.

Anthony Sylvan was very helpful and thoroughly staffed to handle anything needing handling. The design process was excellent, the construction supervision was impeccable and the scheduling was excellent. They were responsive and are highly recommended.

We highly recommend Anthony & Sylvan! We are very pleased with with our pool and would pick A&S again if we’re to build a pool in the future again. They did an amazing job, from a design that maximizes our backyard area to a breathtaking final product. All crews that worked on our pool project were very professional, friendly and accommodating. The A&S staff were responsive and accommodating as well. The only area that needs improvement is managing expectations (scheduling and communicating weather delays). However, I guarantee you that the waiting was worth it; there is no pool company that can build a pool in San Antonio, Texas in three months or less. Our pool project took six months from start to finish, including the deck and cleanup. Again, we highly recommend A&S pools.

Anthony Sylvan team provided an amazing pool that has added enjoyment and good health. The designer representative guided us with recommendations that were not only economical but enhanced the beauty. The Project Manager did regular visits and was courteous, respectful and professional in every way. He kept the construction going in spite of pandemic labor and material shortages. Great Job! We had 6 bids and A&S is by far the best value.

My pool was recently built by A&S. They did a great job with the design and construction. The final product is amazing and elegant. My family loves the pool. Can't wait for this summer to start. I would like to recognize *Paul* from the Warranty team, he installed the ozone sanitization filter, as well patiently answered all the questions I had about the pool, (and I had a very long list of maintenance questions). Paul was very professional and knowledgeable, he proactively adjusted the waterfall for me to have water falling uniformly from it. He finished the job on time and always kept me informed of every aspect of the Warranty process.

We did a lot of research on different pool companies, and the clear winner was Anthony and Sylvan. We are so glad we chose them. We had a great experience working with them. Everything went as well as could be expected. They made sure their subcontractors were on schedule, and we could always get in touch with our project manager, when any questions arose. We would not hesitate to refer them to anyone. We have been enjoying our new pool all summer, and we think it is beautiful!

From initial consultation... to installation... to service, we could not be happier with A&S pools. Thank you for doing a great job in our backyard!

From the outstanding sales rep Jason Olcott listening to what we wanted and giving us his suggestions for the best pool and spa experience. Changing hand to the Project Manager Chris Janssen that did a fantastic job with coordinating all the contractors and making sure the performed like they should. The contractors that were hired all were outstanding and very professional. They did a great job with all aspects of the pool build. Timeline I was not worried about due to the COVID environment that was going on. The pool was done still to me very fast but safely and correctly. My overall experience was very good and I am glad I chose Anthony Sylvan.

He is on top things, he fought tooth and nail to correct my issue, he has impeccable communication skills, very well organized, and provided top notch customer service! I think what sets this pool company from others is honesty, I found Anthony and Sylvan to be very honest!

We are very pleased with our beautiful pool and spa. Anthony & Sylvan was responsive to all my questions. They were professional and creative with any slight changes or additions I made to the project. We interviewed several other companies, but immediately felt comfortable with Joe and he really listened to or vision with an understanding of our budget. The project manager was great and attentive always. The schedulers were on point and always courteous. My husband and I are extremely happy with our backyard resort.

Considering the backyard access and the design issues of my back yard, this construction was project was a hard job. Anthony And Sylvan did everything to protect my yard and my neighbors yard. My designer John Tulley and my project Mgr Dan Dockery went above the call to make sure things went well. John took a difficult yard and designed a pool that we loved. I used his design as a guide for other builders and they could not touch A/S for cost. Dan Dockery the project MGR ran into some problems with the easement and we were able to rework the build and things came out perfect These 2 men were the reason for our success.

The experience was great. Jason, our sales rep, was super easy to work with and gave us great ideas. Our final project manager, Dan, has been very responsive and and quick to answer our questions, all of them.
