First let me state that I never write negative reviews, this is a first. THE GOOD: Tim is polite, prompt and provided a reasonable bid. THE BAD: He was suppose to install two rough in electric boxes for a lighting fixture. The boxes were suppose to be 21 inches center to center. Unfortunately, he mounted the boxes at about 19 7/8 (off center by 1 1/8 inches) resulting in the chains leading from the boxes to the fixture askew. He probably measured incorrectly. In any event, he noted the problem when the project was done but blamed it on the "hardware." He said once the correct hardware was installed the chains would hang correctly. The following day, I installed the correct hardware but that did not correct the problem. I then took measurements and used a plump line, the installation was 1 1/8 inches off center. THE UGLY: I called the contractor on Thursday or Friday and left a message. I did not hear back from him. I then had a custom piece (steel plate) made at a local hardware store to correct the problem ( 1 1/8 off center hole to attach bolt) it took several hours of engineering (won't bore you with the details). BOTTOM LINE: In any event after I corrected the problem (still need to address cosmetic/ceiling exposure issues) two days later I received a call from Tim. He asked if I had called him, I had about three days earlier, I then explained the problem to him. Tim did not seem apologetic. He did say, if I needed him for anything else he would come out. CONCLUSION: Mistakes happen but I was very disappointed that he was aware of the problem and blamed it on the hardware, a quick measurement with a tape would have shown the 1 1/8 inch discrepancy and I was disappointed that he did not promptly return my call to address the problem. I paid Tim his bid and did add a nice tip. Nice guy but would not use him again. Maybe he was having an off day.

Very nice man. Arrived on Time. Did the Work. Reasonable Price. Am going to use him again later this week for a fireplace installation.

IN ADDUTUIB TO HIS GOOD WORKMANSHIP, HE HAS A WARM AND NICE PERSONALITY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO OTHERS.

Had new fan installation with new wiring, air/ heat unit inop traced problem and fixed, ballast replaced in light fixture. All done in one scheduled visit including balancing a existing fan.
