A representative came out gave me a quote for $4,400 to replace a water heater. He stated that the next company wouldn't be cheaper so I signed his contract. The next day the other company came in with $2752 for the same thing. I contacted Anywhere to cancel. John stated there was a 25% cancellation fee. They did not provide the copy of the contract until after I contacted them to cancel. The representative did not let me read his tablet to see terms when I signed the contract nor did he tell me about the fee. I was stuck with them unless I wanted to pay $1,100 to cancel. This was not a custom job. John stated that materials had already been purchased Sunday morning after the contract was signed on Saturday afternoon. The tech was scheduled for Monday morning and arrived Monday afternoon. After completing the water heater install, the main water pipe valve had a leak and to fix it would be an additional $500. I agreed to it and tech replaced the valve. On the same pipe there is a regulator which was also dripping, he wanted another $500. I told him no. The tech was ready to leave and came back to state his boss said they would do the regulator at no cost and would complete the week of Feb 5 thru 9th and wanted me to write a positive review if they did the work. They did not contact me that week to finish. I contacted them Feb 14 to see if they were going to complete the project. The tech said they would put me on the schedule the following week. Again, no contact from them. The original project took 4 hours. Materials purchased include water heater, copper pipe and 3 valves, expansion tank, and a pump to push water to exit pipe. No walls had to be cut down. I also had to clean up the mess from the removal of the old water heater leaking from the basement and up the stairs. They have very questionable business practices, a 25% cancellation fee, prepayment of half of project before they will start work, invoices which do not break down costs for labor and materials. Are the positive reviews true, as they wanted me to give a positive review when the work was completed.

When something you can't ordinarily see breaks it can be surprising how much work is required to fix it, and how expensive it can be. Our sink clog happened due to a series of factors, and we were surprised how expensive it was to fix all the problems. Nevertheless, we felt all of the recommended fixes were necessary, and we probably paid more just because of the urgency of the fix, plus additional work due to the mistakes from a previous plumber that needed to be corrected. They did good work, arrived promptly, and resolved the problems quickly.

BEWARE!!! we were told that the work done would be covered by our insurance company - NO it was not covered by our insurance company - we are stuck with a charge of $16,960.00 - we thought he was telling the truth - we are retired - my husband is 82 yrs old - we were taken advantage of - BEWARE !!!

Anywhere Rooter replaced my old toilet for a brand new one. It was quick, efficient and the guy was very careful not to get nasty toilet water on my carpets as he dragged it out. I will definitely use them again.

We have pretty hard water out here in the sticks and keeping the tankless water heater cleared out is critical for a long service life. Anywhere Rooter came out and flushed the system and made sure everything was at peak performance. Very professional.

The conclusion of our experience with Anywhere Rooter is that they are a bunch of scammers that will try to rip you off, and will refuse to give you service when they cant. We had a problem with our main drainage about 3 weeks ago, the water was back flowing into our basement. Unfortunately, we called Anywhere Rooter randomly, we didnt read any reviews or know any other plumbing companies. We were expecting a quick cleanup, however, one of their plumbers came over to our house and decided after he inspected our pipes that we *have a big problem * and that some tree roots were blocking our main pipe. He said the only solution to our problem was to dig out the pipes and replace them with new ones! His offer was $5500, we told him to just do a normal clean up because we cant afford to pay that much. He was very pushy and was trying to convince us to get a loan or call our bank! He refused to do a clean up saying that the floor might collapse and he doesnt want to get blamed for damages. We told him that we are done and well call another company, however, he charged us $133, saying that $69 were for driving to our place and $64 for replacing a pipe cap that he had to break to get his camera in. So basically we paid the guy $133 for refusing to fix our problem. The next day we asked the company to send us the video that the plumber supposedly recorded so we can send it to another company so they dont have to do another diagnoses. Anywhere rooter said that there was no video because we didnt ask their plumber to record it! We decided to just call another company to do a normal clean up which cost us only $100, plus they gave us warranty. It's been three weeks now and our drainage seems to be fine, there is no back flow anymore.

This company is a JOKE! They will charge you when work is not done. And claimed they have no idea on how to make concrete smooth. LOL! I wish I can attach photos here to show an incredible unfinished concrete after we paid $6,500! Cracks are everywhere and super bumpy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Will never use them again.

BEWARE!!! Anywhere Rooter is practicing Highway Robbery for their essential workers. Home Advisor sent this company to me for a clogged drain. Home Advisor quoted under $200. Anywhere Rooter showed up 24 hours after the scheduled time and by this point, I was in a bind to have the drain unclogged. So, yes, I was under pressure to accept a price of $2250. This price is outrageous. They pulled the toilet and cleaned the drain in less than 2 hours. I am glad it all works now. I have a 90 day warranty. But in Hindsight... I would never use Home Advisor or this overpricing company again. BEWARE!!!
