From the very beginning, our experience with Solomon was exceptional.
We initially contacted him about remodeling our old home. He arrived early, was well-dressed and personable, and made an excellent first impression. Our house was built in 1932 and had been added onto many times, with cloth wiring and rough-cut lumber. Solomon carefully inspected it, answered our questions, and honestly explained that although it was a great home, bringing everything up to code would make remodeling extremely expensive.
Because we owned another three acres next door, we began discussing the possibility of building a new home. Solomon provided helpful advice without pressuring us. After we found house plans we loved, he prepared a quote within about two weeks. We secured financing and signed our contract in December 2025.
By January 2026, the foundation was poured and the walls were going up. The house was under roof by late January and completed in April. We then waited approximately three months for Duke Energy to complete its portion of the electrical service. Although that delay was outside Solomon’s control, he and his crew continued working in the scorching heat without power or air conditioning so we would not face additional delays once electricity was connected.
We finally had power and moved into our home in July, and we have been thrilled with it.
What truly sets Solomon apart, however, is his support after construction is finished. There were a few minor items that needed attention, and he never disappeared or stopped answering calls. He has continued to stay in contact, address issues promptly, and answer our questions. He has also been very accommodating of my rotating night-shift schedule.
Solomon employs an excellent crew, including his brother Gideon, who spent countless hours working at our home during the day and late into the evenings. He became like family to us, which says a great deal about the people Solomon surrounds himself with.
One example perfectly demonstrates Solomon’s honesty and integrity. After moving in, we experienced an unusual electrical issue. Electricians came out twice but found no problem. While Solomon was at our home replacing a water-heater part, we discovered that the behavior was normal for that type of heater and might somehow be related to the light bulbs. Even though the house had been completed and paid for months earlier, Solomon immediately offered, “Well, I can run to Lowe’s and get all new bulbs to see if that really does fix the issue.” I told him he was not buying us light bulbs, but his instinct to make things right spoke volumes.
Solomon is honest, fair, hardworking, knowledgeable, and genuinely stands behind his work. Building a home can be stressful, but he and his crew made the process remarkably easy. We love our home and recommend Solomon without hesitation to anyone considering building or remodeling.
Solomon, Gideon, and the entire crew: thank you for your hard work, honesty, patience, and for building our family such a wonderful home. If we ever build again, there is no question who we will call.
