"As I explained to you YOU picked out the wrong part. I explained to you you had to buy a whole new shower control assembly. But you demanded a find a babysitter for my three kids, I only have them every other weekend, so I could come put the part in. I also explained after the 10th phone call from you if you could not wait until the right part came in I would install what you asked but would NOT come back because of your rudeness. I installed the part and I will not work for you again. I'm not a door mat"

We hired this man to paint our roof and he has refused to finish the job. We paid him in full. I have our contract if you need to see it, I also took pictures of the unfinished roof.

"Plain and simple You gave me the square footage for your roof which was not correct. I purchased over 1200.00 worth of roof paint for the measurements you gave me and that was not enough. So as agreed i went out and bought another 750.00 worth of roof paint and explained that if that was not enough you would have to purchase more paint and we would apply it. You happily agreed to that. i explained that at that point i would be breaking even on your job and i would not pay money out of my pocket to paint your roof. Now you want to write a bad review and be rude on the phone. sorry your unhappy and yes it was my fault for not getting on your roof in the rain on the first visit to take measurements myself."

I had checked with other fence companies. Their bids were very high just for hog wire fencing for fencing half a yard. Raphael's bid was fair and realistic. Materials used were high quality and not bottom of the line. The fence install with him and his team was excellent, especially since they had to drill between 12" and 18" through blue lava for post holes. We are very, very pleased with our very sturdy fence and gate.

Rafael G is good at first impression. Same as another victim neighbor in Hilo . Rafael charge us more 400.00 plus on top of $ 6300. + . No itemize of the cost for all things that he will be working on . I have to buy a French door, Fan, lighting. The cost of over$ 6700. + is just cleaning up the yard (not fully completed)demolition of carpeting and kitchen cabinet, a wood cover for a door , painting, and tile flooring for a room of less than 340 square feet , installed French the door, fan and lighting we bought. Customer service and courtesy very poor when I asked one of his worker to help me to hang the mail box up (2 minutes task). Well , I learn so much from doing this little remodeling especially in Hawaii and with Home advisor since Home Advisor just a reference businesses. I wondered why Home Advisor did not check if their sources of reference professionally licenses for the work that the business claim to be. And why Home Advisor did not post my review? I will also write to Better Business Bureau just to let others homeowners like me beware of. Another neighbor in HILO, Hawaii

"Hidie we finished all the work for you. You are the one who tried to change our signed contract a number of different times. Your two minute mail box ended up taking about an hour which i myself did for free. As i told you my tools are how i make a living, if i have to use tools i have to charge you. Sorry if you think it is ok to add a bunch of small jobs and not have to pay for them. Thats not how it works here. Now you continue still to this day to call ALL my workers and try to get them to do work behind my back for you. Being a probation office i never thought you would act shady like that. However all my workers have common respect for me and seen how you acted and do not want to go behind my back and work for you. Please stop call us"

I had 2 casement windows that were stuck closed after the locks had broken, approx. 30 years old. These were on a vacation rental, so I needed quick service as I had guests arriving the next day. The owner, Israel, contacted me about 4 days after putting in a referral request on HomeAdvisor and Rafael up the same day, which was great. Rafael assured me he could get both windows open but didn't have the parts to fix the locks. After speaking with Israel, he told me each window would cost $125. I did not have time to get multiple bids, so I agreed. He got both windows open in about 30 minutes and removed the lock hinges to ensure that the windows could not lock closed again. He told me they could find the replacement locks and install them later for an additional charge. He asked me if I was satisfied with the job and I said yes, except for the fact that it was not a complete job and I would have expected a complete repair for $125 for each window. He told me he would speak iwth his boss about the price. I left him to finish packing his gear but heard him make the call. He told Israel that he was finished with the job and I was happy with the job, blah, blah, blah (his words) and ended the call. He did not mention that I was not happy with the price. When I joined him again he told me his boss said the price would stay. Rather than confront him, I decided to chalk it up to a learning experience. I should not have agreed to an incomplete job for a full job price just because I was in a hurry.
