About us

Apple Door Systems was founded in 1973 by Hubert Apple in Richmond, Virginia. With the help of his son, Dan, the business found much success in the Richmond area and opened the first satellite store in Mt. Crawford in 1989. It was followed in 1990 by the first Charlottesville store and in 1992, the two stores merged and became Apple Door of Waynesboro. Apple Door of Richmond employees, Pam and James Weeks, headed up the Apple Door of Waynesboro branch, eventually purchasing the location becoming the first independently owned Apple Door store.

Shady and Unprofessional! Didn't write down anything I was going to order but set up a date to come to measure and inspect the job site. Date came as scheduled, he measured and left. After he left I emailed them my order that we discussed in the show room. They replied, minutes later, and said they will give me a quote that day. I waited a week then I drove to them and asked for my quote. While there I paid for everything (in full). I asked how long I will have to wait for the install. I was told that they have to call for the parts and I will receive a call the next day. I waited a week and called and asked for an install date. We set up a day. Install date arrived and before they left they told me that I will need to need to purchase a 1" board for the trim to attach to. They left the trim for me to complete. They left and I called the office and asked when they are coming back to install my trim. They said next Monday, I told them we are starting our vacation Sunday for a week and no one will be home. They said that's okay they will bring trim and install it and you can deliver what is in the garage later. We arrived home the next Sunday (7 days) and the trim was not installed. I called on Monday and was told because of computer problems they couldn't make it out last week. They said they will send someone out on Wednesday. I told them I will be at work and no one will be home. They said that's okay. After work, Wednesday, the trim was installed. That Friday I went into my garage to find that the trim was gone and a small mess where they cut the trim was on the floor. I called and asked how they got into my garage. They said the back door was open so he walked in and used the trim that was inside. I was so upset I just wanted this nightmare to go away.
