"We have a blue book for repairs for the appliance industry. Our standard repair is about a third less than blue book. We also never charge for a trip to pick up parts. The cost is the same as if we fixed your machine the first time out."
"For years now we have had a standard operating policy of helping out homeowners by checking their other appliances while we are out there doing a repair on the unit they called us on. We do this to offer them helpful tips on how to operate and maintain their appliances to save them unnecessary repairs and wasted money. We do not charge for this service, and our customers are usually very appreciative of the extra time we take to help them. One of our tips is to wipe down the door gasket seals and cabinet, where the seals touch, once a month to prevent a sticky buildup that eventually rips the gasket, which can cost about 300 to 400 dollars to replace. We also advise our customers on when and how to clean the condensor on their refrigerator, which can save them 150.00 to 200.00 a year in added electrical usage. Once or twice a year we will have a customer who does not like us to help them with this advice and we stop right there and move on. As far as the cost of the repair, this repair was a little less than what the blue book quote is for this appliance."
