I needed to replace the rotting wood siding on the front of my house and knew I wanted to use Hardy Board. Went to the James Hardie Website and located their recommended "Elite Installers" and found Approved Contractors, Inc. in Canoga Park. I live in West Hills. Jared, the owner came the day after I called and explained everything including our need to replace 3 of our front windows which were single pane and leaking air into our home. The price was reasonable and the care and quality from the workers to the office staff couldn't have been better. We are very pleased with the work and after a 2 week job, I wish we would have done this sooner. I was painting about every 2 years and it got to the point that the wood had been exposed to harsh sun and heat that it couldn't hold paint any longer. James Hardie Board is guaranteed for 25 years and the finished color surface is guaranteed for 15 years. I highly recommend Jared and his company! I replaced all my old leaky windows with beautiful new Adlin windows. Huge job that entailed removing exterior stucco, some of the original wood frames along with plaster and lathe interiors. My home is 99 years old. The team did an amazing job and treated my home and family with respect. I would hire them again.

Clean and reliable

They do good work when you tell them you won't accept them cutting corners and provide site supervision since there is none from the office. Communication was non-existent. They removed the siding from the front of my house, replaced with stucco, installed new windows and front door, and painted the entire house. At the end of the job I am happy with the overall result but every trade tried to get me to sign off on cutting corners and sloppy work. Once I pointed it out they redid the work properly, but it was extremely frustrating. Not the experience I expected for the premium price I paid. They were extremely messy during the whole process and left nails and debris all over my lawn which we had to clean up several times to ensure the safety of my dogs and children. They would have left paint all over my driveway if I hadn't made them come back to powerwash it. They were sloppy until you called them out on it and then they fixed it. Avoid the headache if you can. A 4-5 week job took 12 weeks.

Amazing work! I received several estimates for a damaged window. After meeting with Approved Contractor (process, pricing, and previous work), they were right for the job. The team was professional and navigated a challenging situation. The window did not meet the exact specifications. Our home was built in 1941 and had unexpected wood damage around the frame. After speaking to Jared, the team executed a solution which included concrete framing and a border frame. Once the wood work was completed, the new bow window installed, and the final paint completed to match the existing color scheme of the house, it was an amazing job. Our neighbors are raving about the window. We are very happy and plan to hire Approved Contractor for more work. See the before and after pictures. From damaged window to spectacular view!!! Excellent experience from start to finish! We had all our old, and single-pane windows (about 23) and doors (3) replaced at our house. We first met Mark, who came to our house; he thoroughly reviewed our windows and answered our questions without pushing us to sign anything. We met with the owner Jared before we decided to move forward. The communication with the office was excellent. The lead time was ultimately longer than initially planned (but this was expected given the state of the supply chain in 2022). The installation was fantastic. Lalo and his team came for about four days to our house and did an extraordinary job. Lalo explained everything we needed to know about the process to accommodate our working-from-home schedule and our two indoor cats. The resulting work is phenomenal, and the difference in the house is very noticeable between our old and new windows. Overall I would highly recommend Approved Contractor!

I wish I had chosen Approved first…not second, it cost me a substantial amount of money ! After meeting with the Approved Contractor rep I knew this job would be done correctly and stress free. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if needed. They removed my first contractors mess and installed James Hardie siding, they did an exceptional job !

Excellent service! Lalo was the person whom we worked with to measure our windows, and install them. He was thorough, clean, and did everything professionally. I can't express how happy I am with the end result. Their back office support, Jared and Kimberlee, were also responsive to inquiries, even when I was contacting them often to answer questions and discuss timeline. While they are very busy, the work was worth the wait. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality service!

We were impressed with the quality of the workmanship, the Covid safety protocols, the communications with everyone involved with the project, and the best part was that they stayed within the schedule, even with rainy weather. We will call Approved Contractors with our next home improvement project.

I got 5 estimates and Approved Contractors was the only company that was certified by James Hardie to sell and install its Hardie Fiber Cement siding and trim. They removed my old wood siding, replaced the old insulation, put up a Hardie Wrap moisture barrier, and installed the new siding and trim (including around the windows). The siding I chose was wood-grain 7" Hardie Plank Horizontal style in Pearl Grey. The trim I chose was smooth white which is very crisp looking against the Pearl Grey siding. My house is approximately 2700 sq ft. They installed Color Plus Soffit James Hardie Fiber Cement siding on all eaves of the house. They also wrapped the existing facia. They wrapped the wood around the garage doors as well as the only 2 windows that had wood frames (neither window opens, just plain glass). I live very close to the foohthills in Glendora. During the Colby Fire I had some damage from embers on my canvas awning, patio chairs, patio cover, as well as on my synthetic turf. I have replaced the wood patio cover, and now every other wood surface on the house is covered with non-flamable material. The two sides and back of the house are stucco. Approved Contractors gave me a 4 year workmanship warranty. There is a 15 year Color Plus warranty from James Hardie, this includes fading. There is also a 30 year warranty on materials through James Hardie. I am able to recommend Approved Contractors without reservation. I have had a lot of work done over the 25 years I have owned my home, and Approved Contractors provided excellent work. They were easy to work with, very responsive, and didn't waste time. The office staff as well as the workmen were professional and couldn't have been nicer.

It went great. Jared is very informative and helpful. Offered advice in the areas I was unsure of. His guys showed up early each day, cleaned up at the end of each day and We're very happy. We are now having them re stucco and paint our exterior. I highly recommend.

They did a wonderful Job! The siding on the house looks great! The staff at Approved were very responsive and their workers who installed the siding were courteous and respectful of our property. They worked hard & Finished the job ahead of schedule.

Sales person was very nice and not at all high-pressure. The project went mostly well compared to other house upgrade & remodel projects I've had done. There were a few hiccups along the way, but those were quickly and easily remedied. The company's office manager, Kimberley, is outstanding--efficient, helpful, and really on top of things. Jared, the owner of the company, is very nice and responded to my questions and concerns very quickly. I asked them to pull the building permits from our city (which our city building dept. recommends) and that turned out to be quite expensive ($894), as they use a 3rd party service to pull permits for them, which I'd never seen done before. $300 of the total permit fees was the service fee from the 3rd party service. They also repaired termite damage in the wood framing that became obvious when the walls were opened up. The project went well once it got started, the workmanship was excellent from all the workers, and we are very happy with the outcome.

The work needed was to install 3 windows and 1 sliding door. The inspection process was smooth and the proposed price was very reasonable. Lalo and the installation team that came out was on time, professional and the work was flawless. Highly recommend their work.

Jared is amazing as well as his crew. Always always on time if not early. Cleanliness is ?. Never left anything behind. Work is clean and my house looks brand new! Jared is a amazing to work with!!!!

Windows were measured. I was informed windows were ordered. I was informed windows are ready and a date was made for installation. Installers arrived as scheduled. Installers did a good job of coving furniture. Old windows removed new windows installed Very clean job. Excellent installation and clean up. The whole family was happy with the new windows.
