We had a Kayak pool in Ohio back in 1984 it was installed in one day by 2 professionals using a bobcat to clear and level ground before install. We received a call from Aquadek pool owner Tom Foster that he would be out to check our yard and to give us a quote. He didn't show up. He sent a guy named Mark who only worked expos and had no clue what to say or do. He quoted a extremely high price 30k for the same size pool we had in Ohio for 6k. When we said that was way above what we would pay he called Tom Foster and was agreed that we would pay 19k that included tax. He said he had a new crew and would be here to supervise install. We paid for pool in full as he said it couldn't be ordered till check cleared. When pool arrived it was missing the frame. Took another week to located and have delivered. When they began to build Tom was there as promised the first day. They didn't have a bobcat as promised but had a sod remover. This dug deep ruts and made the ground very uneven, Tom used a rake and a thing with a beam that was suppose to level the ground. After the first day Tom was a no show he sent a message that his mother in law was in hospice and needed to be there for his wife. This we could understand but as the days passed and the crew were putting together and taking apart things they were clearly not sure what they were doing. Also they would only work a few hours and leave because of the heat. Tom finally came out to check progress and work done. He didn't measure correctly for deck as it went under our hurricane awning. I had the guys just remove 3 slats of decking so it would fit away from awning. At the end of pool build there were still parts missing. hinges for ladder to go up on deck the ladder that goes in the pool was missing the 2 deck parts that ladder anchors to. the filter had no seal. So we had a pool we couldn't get up on or climb into or finish filling. was told when they finished the job in Jacksonville they would come back. Had to make a call to Kayak Home office to explain that pool was ordered in April and it was now July and we were still unable to use pool. Tom Foster was told to call us but instead he had one of the crew do so. His mother in-law had past away which I was very sorry to hear but he left us high and dry with a promise to be out on a Wednesday with a no show or call or message. When Kayak called him he sent a message that he was a owner not a installer very rude then why tell us you were coming out with seal for filter if you had no intention of showing up. The crew told us they wouldn't get paid unless we signed off on pool. This was not what we wanted to do. We wanted Tom to do a final inspection with us. But we signed to our regret. Pool is not level, fencing is leaning out in spots not connected correctly and decking has gaps. Liner has wrinkles and sand underneath is so uneven that in spots you can stand on small hills. If I never owned a Kayak pool I would not ever recommend one to anyone.

The swimming pool was installed incompletely and incorrectly during June 2018 as confirmed by Aquadek Pools' marketing director Scott (904-888-0307). On August 10, 2018, Aquadek Pools, LLC (Tom Foster, 941-725-0465) finally verbally agreed to repair the pool and refill the pool with water by the end of August 2018. To seal the agreement Mr. Foster was asked to and agree to put the repair agreement in writing. He did not and as of September 04, 2018, he has not begun the repairs as promised.

"The pool was delivered and received and installed in June. The installer was paid for his work. The installer in question was Jim Rizzo at (941-XXXX. He spent 4 days at the site building the pool, and did additional work not on contract at that time (placement and additional plumbing for pump and heater) I don't know who requested or asked for that to happen nor do I know if it was charged or paid for additionally, but it should have been. The installer contacted me late on the fourth day and informed me that the pool was complete and the customer signed a completion certificate, but he could not wait any longer to pick up the balance due of $1,500.00 for the installation, (which was due upon completion). I called the customer and she said she would pay the next day. I did mention that I could send an invoice for credit card payment if she preferred. The next thing I am getting pictures of a pool that needed some work and was told that the balance due would not be paid till they were done. I am not questioning the possibilities of install problems, customer problems or what ever. I intended on fixing them, but this is workmanship and warranty work, which is only done on pools that are paid for. I have already paid the installer for his services, and he does not return my calls or texts, and I don't know what happen at the site, but apparently he left angry and quit. I do not provide water, electrical, landscaping, or pull permits, these are the responsibility of the customers, and it is spelled out in the contract. Just an FYI adjusting camber bars and replacing some self taping screws are minor repairs. The pool was designed for customers to be able to self install, and the instructions come with the pool. Since you didn't pay the balance due, I do not believe you intend to, no matter what happens."

Should have read the reviews before I used these guys. From the very beginning they are very pushy with their marketing. After the presentation I received calls daily pressuring me for a down payment. After the payment was made, they made no effort to tell me an exact delivery or install date. I missed 3 days of work having to wait upon them to arrive. Finally the delivery arrived today, and SURPRISE nobody is there to unload the flatbed, so I did that with the delivery driver. 4 hours later 1 worker shows up and works a total of 2 hours, opening boxes. (that's all he did). These people promised me same day installation and delivery, I will update this post after the pool is finished, but for now extremely unhappy with the service, would urge all customers to read these reviews before signing any contracts or paying any sums of money.

"We do not practice any type of high pressure sales techniques. This contract was sent via UPS and the initial deposit was submitted by the customer thru an invoice payment program that they had to complete at their convenience. The installation team is unfortunately very backed up in scheduling at this time of the year, and the second worker was out sick. Travel to Longwood via I-4 is very slow due to construction in the area. Our installers work very hard to get the job done and done right. Sometimes this may take a little longer than expected. We stand behind our workmanship and in the end I am sure that you will be satisfied."

After the installation of my pool, there were several problems, leaking connections, unsecure guard rail, wobbling steps, not to mention the uneven bottom complete with golf ball sized rocks under the liner, have tried several times to get the company to come back to no avail.

It took a month and a half, as well as a second crew that didn't even work for Aquadek and a ton of patience to get our pool built. I fired the first crew Aquadek sent out. On three different occasions, they were late by 5-6 hours. They were very inexperienced and had no clue as to what they were doing. They often requested my help to run them to the local store for parts needed for the project. The second crew sent out didn't even work for Aquadek and was helping them out by adding us to their schedule. Mike and his crew were by far more experienced and very professional and did a fabulous job building our pool. Aquadek wasn't very interested in hearing my concerns once they had our money for the pool. I strongly urge anyone to hold off on paying this company until the job is done OR just go with some other company. Read the contract carefully. The fine print on the back seemingly only protects the seller, not the buyer. The only highlight of this whole experience is that I believe this Buster Crabbe pool is high quality and the second crew should of been the crew Aquadek hired to begin with. Customer service for Aquadek needs some serious revamping. I still haven't gotten a response back from the owner of Aquadek. I do not recommend using this company when buying your pool.
Response from Eco-Smart Pools of Florida LLC
"We are sincerely sorry that you had a delay in the installation of your pool. Purchasing a pool during the height of the swim and hurricane season can create delays beyond our control. Installation teams are professionals, and if and when they show to be not dependable they are fired and replaced. I asked you not to let them back on your property. Thank you for that assistance. I assumed that you were satisfied when you signed the completion certificate and paid the balance, since this is our fail-safe to assure our customers satisfaction. How we get paid is set up as a courtesy, and I must take offence to you suggesting otherwise. We require a minimum 50% deposit to order and ship the pool, and the balance less a reasonable installation fee paid when the pool is delivered. At this point you have bought, paid and received the pool. In other words you own it. The final payment and the signed completion certificate are completed when the pool installation is finished. I have spoken to you many times during the installation process and since the installation to assure your satisfaction. We have a signed completion certificate and the balance is paid in full, which indicates that you are satisfied with the completed project. Again we understand your frustration with the delay, but unfortunately it was beyond our control, weather, shipping and manufacturing delays. We appreciate your patience and hope that you enjoy your pool for years to come."

I had to have 3 installers come out before finally getting the pool installed. After installation the pool liner has wrinkles all in it, the bottom is no where near level, it leaks, and the steps that came with it float. Worst decision we have ever made and no where near worth the money. Do not hire this company!

"We are pleased to say that this pool was properly serviced and as of last contact the customer was happy with our service. Unfortunately installing during the rainy season can be extremely difficult to do but we always stand behind our work."
