Aqua Pro Pools

After hiring, I waited months for Aqua pro pools to start work. They did respond to emails and were courteous but they never got around to the job. I hired someone else.

While I appreciate the work being completed, there are several items for which I cannot approve. The first being the length of time they suggested the project would take was two weeks. Very familiar words from a movie called The Money Pit starring Tom Hanks and Shelley Long. If you are old enough, you will recall the company hired were The Shirks and it was funny to hear the same repeated words from the contractor on ETA to completion. It took three months and I heard **two weeks** about 20 times. While I do allow some of the extra time because they did have to redo our deck to fit the coping we purchased, it could have been done a lot quicker with devoted resources. I watched one person jackhammer for multiple weeks and it annoyed me that we were being neglected. The second was the finished work. They broke my skimmers during the demo and repaired them in a way that the skimmer baskets are not easily removed. The plaster was set correctly (and it does look awesome I should add) but they threw blue plaster all over my backyard. I got the feeling they were losing money on the project and as a result, they stopped caring. Overall the communication and care by the company did not meet expectations for a 20K+ bill which may be peanuts to their company but not to me. If theres one major critique it would be a lack of transparency. Which goes back to the communication issue between my wife, myself, and the contractor. All in all, they got the work done but I left with that feeling when you buy your first car and realize you need to do better research. Money is gone, I am left with the idea bigger companies are the way to go in the future, and I freaking hate corporations. The workers busted their asses WHEN THEY WERE THERE. So, it is hard to pin it on them. I think the overall problem is a lack of supervision, a lack of communication, and a lack of experience or care during the demo. But they did complete it after a lot of pain and suffering. For that, 2 1/2 stars.

Lies and shoddy workmanship. 3 months delay and my pool worse than before!

I had Ron with Aqua Pro Pools provide an estimate in February and we agreed to have them resurface our pool in March Susan (Ron wife) was very responsive until about Mid March, but locking down a start date took a bit of work. I should have run away from this company as soon as we had trouble getting them to set a start date. We finally got them to give us April 5th as a start date, and with the project estimate of 4-5 days, we figured it would be done by the end of the week. That is where things started to go downhill. The team did not show up on the 5th and I was not provided any communication from Aqua Pro Pools. I emailed them and they said they were a day behind. They did not show up on the 6th, and again, I had to email them. They finally showed up on the 8th to drain my pool. The guys put the pump in, they never showed back up to remove or move the pump. I ended up having to move it deeper and unplug it when it was finished. I assumed they would be back on the 9th to start the next step, but again, I was wrong. No call, no email, nothing from Aqua Pro Pools. They finally came back on the 13th to chip part of the pool and rolled on whatever goes on before the plaster. Ron called while they were doing this piece to get paid for half of the total due. He showed up surprisingly fast to pick that checkup and cash it. They came out one more time on the 19th to set my mosaics, and that is the last I have seen them. I have been calling, texting, and emailing to try to get the second part of this project complete. I cannot get Susan to get back to me, Ron phone goes to voice mail, he does not respond to texts. Last week I was finally able to talk to Ron, he said they would be out this last weekend of May 8th. I did not receive any sort of communication, and of course, nobody showed up. I cannot recommend Aqua Pro Pools at this point. I will update my review with how this project ends.

A pleasure working with Ron who kept in touch at all stages of the project and went over and above to complete a great job

We hired Ron to manage the demolition & remodeling of our concrete pool coping. This project went terribly in many ways, but it boils down to some degree of incompetence in project management and craftsmanship plus some degree of lack of caring about us as a customer. We have remodeled every part of our house over the many years and this was the worst experience we had on a project. We were running two other projects concurrently with this one and both of those went exceptionally well, in stark contrast to this one. Here are a few bullet points about this project: - We scheduled to have Ron come by to provide an estimate and he did not show up because we were actually never put on his schedule (in spite of receiving a confirmation). To his credit, he came quickly to discuss what we wanted and take measurements. - The project was supposed to begin on 10/5 or 10/6, which we confirmed on 10/2 (the Friday before). On 10/7, we had to call to find out why no one had shown up and were told that they were behind and would start as soon as possible. - Unannounced, a few guys showed up at our front door on 10/9, saying they had been sent by LG Concrete (who we had never heard) to provide an estimate. Ron apparently contracts out ALL of the work to various contractors. In this case, his contractor (LG) didn't have anyone available for our project and sub-contracted out to another guy (again, we were never told any of this by Ron directly). This contractor told us he could do the demolition if we paid him $2,500 and that he needed to know by that afternoon. We tried to explain that we were working with Ron and it took all weekend for the three of them (Ron, LG, and this random contractor to work it all out, which involved us in several text exchanges and phone calls). - Ultimately, the random contractor did the work, but complained that he was still having trouble getting paid, said he may not show up to finish the job until he was paid by Ron/LG. He also said that he was told to just leave the demolition debris behind since Ron had not ever made a plan to have it removed. - We were also told by the LG manager that this crew was definitely not his "A Team" and that it was difficult rounding up good contractors in such a busy remodeling environment. We were told that his "A Team" would manage the actual reconstruction of our coping - Not sure what team did the work, but the concrete did not fill properly into all of the forms and looked terrible in a number of places once the forms were removed. They also damaged one of the pool skimmer sleeves (perhaps during demolition) and no one ever told us. We were told they would do finishing work on the coping to fix the issues and that we'd be very happy with the outcome. We are not happy - it looks terrible, with multiple materials used (maybe epoxy and concrete), lots of discolored areas, and many unfinished looking spots along the tile line. - Ron apparently did not tell LG about the handrails that needed to be reinstalled, so a couple of young people were sent to do the job unsupervised - the handrails are set at an odd angle and the epoxy was spread widely over the cement and looks terrible. - Throughout the project, we were never pro-actively contacted by Ron with updates and always needed to contact him. There was little to no project management. Ron came to our property twice during the whole project â once to do the estimate and once after demolition, and only because I said we couldnâ t move forward on construction until I met with him and the LG manager. He did not show up at the completion of the project to inspect the work and ensure satisfaction. He didnâ t even contact us to let us know they were finished (I had to reach out to him to ask). I summarized all of the above in an email and sent a text to let him know we were very dissatisfied. We have still not heard b...

Well done job at a time that was good for us. The results are beautiful and we would recommend this company. Glad to work with them.

Ron and his team just completed resurfacing my Spool (large spa, small pool) with the QuartzScapes-Tropical Blue plaster, and delivered the results I hoped for. Ron kept us informed of the process and timelines, and finished today with the chemical start up and even corrected a new leak issue on my pump. Great decision by me. Thank you Ron and team.

Ron, Aqua Pro Pools owner, came as soon as I called him. All my pool issues were resolved for a better price than other quotes I received. Ronâ s crew members were knowledgeable, timely, and responsive. I received prompt responses to my phone calls and emails; excellent customer service. The only complaint that I have is the poor clean up after the work was done. However, I still think that this was a great experience and I would highly recommend Aqua Pro Pools.

I am very pleased with entire replastering process, from an estimate to the preparation and the plastering. I'm happy to recomend them.

No follow up. Poured plaster into the grass and promised to clean it up but never did. A crack around a vent shows up. Another promise to fix it but no follow up. The owner is very personable and a good salesman but I would not recommend or do business with him again.

Wish they had cleaned up behind themselves better.

The re-plaster job was expertly done and looks great, BUT be sure the crew cleans everything up to your satisfaction before leaving or paying the final bill. We found plaster stains around our decking, xeriscaping rocks, and a chaise lounge.

I love the finished product of my pool remodel. The process went very well. Communication was great, with Ron. Very professional and helpful. I would recommend Ron Davis and Crew.

Ron and his crew were great. He provided great customer service and his crew did an outstanding job resurfacing my pool….at a great price. They completed the work on time and left the work area clean. I strongly recommend using Aqua Pro Pools.

If you are looking for someone to work on or fix your pool, I found the best in Austin. It is Aqua Pro Pools. Ron Davis is the owner and I have had many attempts to have my pool fixed with a couple of other companies, I called Aqua Pro Pools. He came right out was prompt and told me what was wrong; he had to order a part but kept me posted on when it would come in. He then came out to fix it explained I also needed some a electrical work done and then it should work. He followed up in a couple of days to make sure everything was working, he was very professional and courteous, I never I to play a guessing game on when it would be fixed. He also will match or meet anyone else’s price and I have a 3 year warranty. He also does pool decks and various other things he also does maintenance on pools. He is a true gem. I would recommend him highly to anyone that needs work done on their pool. I could not have asked for anything more. So please call Aqua Pro pools for any problems you may have. I was very pleased with my decision to select Aqua Pro, this was a small job that required some 'out of the box' thinking and Ron was able to complete the work quickly and within our budget
