I was able to get same day service to repair my 20+-year-old dryer when its motor went out. Lou provided me with an accurate estimate, and for the amount of work required, the price was quite reasonable. Lou was personable, efficient, and assured me that while my dryer might be old, it was well worth repairing rather than replacing (given the quality of new machines). Extremely happy with my experience, and have recommended Area Appliance to others already.

Problem was with a 16-year old refrigerator no longer cooling. Received a callback right away and was able to get same day service. Lou, the technician was very personable and professional. The issue wasn't fixed in the first visit, but the cost covered the subsequent visit, in which Lou came back out right away and was able to replace a part and fix the fridge. Overall, I was very pleased with Lou and this company, and will be using them again for any appliance repairs.

Called Area Appliance because my ice maker was dripping. I was greatly distressed because we had recently redone the kitchen flooring. Lou arrive on time and was very cordial.. Showed him my dripping ice maker and he went to work. Only a few minutes later he said, " Mamme, your ice maker is not dripping, you are not closing the door tightly." He ddi not charge me but spent many minutes checking the machine. Told me the bottom needed a vacuum. He made me an appointmeant to do that today, arrived on time do a great job. Left me as happy as a pig in mud (as my farmer grandfather use to say). St. Peter will greet Lou with roses because he did not take advantage of elderly or disabled and he knew and did his craft well.

Lou, the owner of Area Appliance came to our house personally, same day the work request was submitted, and arrived exactly at noon when he had promised. He helped diagnose our refrigerator problem which turned out to be a worse than we hoped. Instead of charging us for multiple hours of work to patch things up, Lou recommended we not proceed and that we buy a new fridge. He gave us recommendations for types of low-maintenance refrigerators. He also then discounted his service charge recognizing that he was not able to resolve our problem fully, and due to us having additional cost burden ahead with a new purchase. All in all, high quality service performed with integrity. I would definitely call Area Appliance back for other needs in the future!
