He went the extra mile to get the job done in good time. His work is excellent and he cleaned up the mess afterwards.

I hired Kyle on December 9, 2019 along with my Association. I was excited to get a move on this project that had been on hold for over a year. Each person I responded to on Home Advisor was given the same photos as Kyle. I was informed he could have this done within a few days. The job included insulation, drywall, flooring, trim and baseboards with painting. I had all of the supplies or at least 99% of them purchased. Kyle came in saying he could do the job for $2500 between what I was paying with the association and myself. Days turned into weeks where Kyle would show for an hour or two if I was lucky or his worker Nick. I did not get to celebrate Christmas at my place and finally was able to get my tree up for NYE. Not exactly what I imagined. Kyle is not a licensed contractor in the State of Michigan and nor is he insured, hence why he has no business bank account. This is a side job for him which I found out as the weeks began to pass. I had a brand new fan that was ruined with drywall dust, they went into my closet while I was not home to use my broom and dustpan. They said they would clean things after they were done. I was left with a horrid mess and nasty text messages from Kyle when I complained to him of the paint job I paid for and found his coworker from Pioneer in dim lighting painting because Nick said he could do a better job that way. Kyle offered me $100 off but that did not happen because the check was already written. There were many blemishes left behind when they said they were done. The plastic he hung was way too heavy to even stay up. I had drywall dust everywhere inside my 980 sq foot condo, From the work that was supposed to be done he tried to do it a simple way even though it was paid for. He began saying he was going to charge me more because that was a different conversation that took place. It was not. The area in the ceiling he was to have done did not get done properly so I am left with mud patches even though he said I told you I would reroll the paint for free. I already paid the money for this to be done. He kept changing prices throughout when he heard what others wanted to charge. What he did not realize is that included removal of padding, carpet, furniture, etc. I am still cleaning drywall dust from my place. When I showed him two weeks ago the ceiling he said he could texture it for $250. I am already on a fixed budget and I do not appreciate having someone try to get more money from myself that I have already paid out. He begged me to do my flooring, and the painting. Now my ceiling is still not completed nor was the painting done properly. I made the mistake of doing a five star review when two days later I was sent the survey. I have heard of other jobs Kyle has to go back too and places he had to cover furniture he said thought looked like a sh!t hole. I wanted my place done and not have to continue to deal with finding things that were not done or having someone change the pricing on me. He never provided anything in writing besides text messages. I frankly feel I deserve a refund for some of the work and the paint I now have to have redone along with the ceiling. I am frustrated and refuse to deal with someone that can nott be professional enough to do the right by what he was supposed to have done. Another $500 to fix the square he should have done. Then the text messages that were beyond rude to me when he did not like what I had to say and said I am not happy with how anyone has worked here and no wonder I have so many issues. Yes, this has been all reported to Home Advisors and I will not recommend him for any further jobs.
