Shower Install or Replace
Replaced a standup acrylic shower for $1800 which I found to be incredibly expensive since it did not include putting the drywall back that they had to remove. Apparently this was in the contract and I did not read it carefully enough. My mistake. I had to hire another contractor for $500 to patch the drywall, tape, texture and paint due to my failure to realize that this isn't a one stop shop repair. My main complaint is the careless disregard in how they handled the waste from the job. The contractor threw the old fiberglass insulation in the backyard instead of disposing of it properly in a dumpster or hauling it away. As a result, my tenants dogs tore the fiberglass insulation to pieces and ingested it requiring medical attention. When my tenant called the office the lady was rude to her and said "We aren't here to pay vet bills... not our problem". Overall not a great experience.
