Reviews
Write a ReviewAbsolutely horrible service and would not recommend! It took 7 hours for 3 men to move an apartment with minimal furniture 20min away. I had minimum furniture bc I purchased new furniture to be delivered to my new place. I had an item that was broke and also had missing things. I later got a charge for a purchase that was taken from my home. It took 50min to drive to my new apartment which is exactly 18min away, while paying an hourly fee transportation fee. One of the movers found me on social media and began liking a bunch of my pictures, which is just extremely unprofessional. Once I stated this to the manager, Stephanie she proceeded to say how he is harmless and had no concern for the length her men took in my move. When hiring a company, professionalism and safety should always be a concern when it involves your home, this business completely fell short and would not recommend!
We have spoke with you and apologize for your dissatisfaction with your move. The owner had personally texted and reached out to you to discuss and apologize for your dissatisfaction and concerns. We will be refunding you for your fire stick, and we have taken action on the employee who reached out to you on social media. We are not lying we just did not have all the facts, we are given the facts as we have in front of us. Since we were not present when the move took place so we can only go by listening to the recorded phone calls, and the information given by you and our interviews with each mover. We cannot make up the tracking information.
Arizona Discount Movers was the definition of below par. The initial customer outreach was good, and they did follow up as well, however, this proved to be the peak of our experience with them. The day arrives and the two guys show up. Things are positive as they position the Uhaul truck, pull the ramp, get a rundown of the job. They are given 17 high priority items, and the fact that the remaining time would be used to pack as many boxes as possible. It's true that one of the items is a beast of a dresser. However, it didn't take all that long to move - they still managed to smash a wall, leaving a serious dent, almost a hole. This, combined with their yelling and arguing with each other heatedly, left my wife and I looking at each other with looks of real concern. Two hours later... The 17 items are not packed. To give you an idea here... Bedroom set, two mattresses, two work out machines, three piece couch, three-piece coffee table and side tables, small round dining room table. Fifty Minutes Later... The 17 items are not packed, and I am out $130. I tell them I NEED to get across to Apache Junction to pick up the only tow dolly trailer within 130 miles. They seem disappointed, but agree to spend 10 minutes focusing on the missing items... The mattress makes it on the truck, the dining room table did not. I had to take it apart in order to do it myself. You can argue that they took their time to properly pack everything, and they did Saranwrap, using our provided blankets, however, even THIS wasn't impressive. They placed the bed footboard (which is rather ornate, directly against the truck wall, no wrapping or packaging. There were still plenty blankets. 1000 miles of bumpy travel later, and paint chipping and abrasion is evident. They disconnected the recliner power, and did *who the hell knows what with it???* ... A smart person who is wrapping something might wrap the power supply to the recliner. Now, however, we just have a heavy couch with buttons. In short, I would not do business with this company unless you get a fixed bid for a whole project and maybe they'll get everything done. I regret picking Arizona Discount Movers and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a few hours of work
This is are first time hearing this about your move experience. We only were hired to load your U-Haul, and we used blankets you provided. We cannot be responsible for a load that traveled a thousand miles. Once a U-Haul is driven by someone else, and unloaded by someone else, we have no clue how the U-Haul was driven, who unloaded it. So once a truck is loaded by our company, and transported and uploaded by someone else. We cannot know how the damage occurred. We are only responsible while loading the truck only. Also we had helped you pack for several hours. You made several remarks that an hour later still nothing loaded. The reason why is because we were still helping you pack. No damage occurred to your belongings while we loaded the truck. The damaged occurred during transport, and unload. We loaded your truck with the materials provided by you. We are sorry to hear that you have damage to your belongings, they did not happen when we loaded your U-Haul that you drove several hundred miles. Please call our office to discuss, since we have not heard from you and this is the first time we have heard about your move. Again we only loaded your U-Haul, and that was the extent of our move service that we provided. We did not transport your belonings or unload your belongings.
I beg everyone reading this review to not fall for the same trap I did and get another moving company!!! I went with the movers who had the cheapest rates and to say it backfired would be an understatement. When I called to get a quote we did not know the exact date of our move as it was new construction. They told me that I should book now to lock in the rate and then I could change at any time. They told me the rate and we agreed at a specific price, cheaper than other quotes I had gotten. Then, with over a month notice I got the specific date and we scheduled it in. I was discussing dates with the lady over the phone and she told me that on Sunday they would have to charge more as they have to pay the guys overtime so we agreed to do it on Saturday. The day before the move we got a confirmation call and that is when I was told that the rate had changed and we now had to pay 30.00 more per hour than we originally agreed on. At this point, it was one day before the move and I had no choice but to agree. Their movers came and I will say one of them was a great worker and he did an amazing job however the move took way longer than it should have and two of the workers were not as useful. For example when we moved into this house (3 Br, 2BA) it took 3 hours and these guys took over 6 hours to do the moveâ ¦ again, sometimes the cheaper rate is not the best option. Now, this is where things get even more fun! I had asked several times about moving our big screen TV and they said they would take care of it. Now, when we got to the new place the TV was broken and screen completely shattered. It has now been over 3 weeks and we still do not have a TV in our living room and was forced to host a Memorial Day house warming party with no TV in the living room. Our TV was only 400.00 and they still have not reimbursed us for that. They ask for 12 weeks which just seems ridiculous for a reimbursement. They make everything as hard as possible. I know this is a long review but it sounds like others have had similar issues with this company and I hope it saves someone else from having to go through this!
We apologize that you were not happy with your moving service. When you booked your move, you were booked in April when the rates are lower. We make it very clear that our rates go up in May to our summer rates. Your move date was originally booked in April when the rates were lower. Your original rate was booked at $165 an hour for three professional movers. You were originally scheduled for April 27 and you called and rescheduled your moved to May 11. We never changed the rate on you last minute you were made aware during the process of you rescheduling your move from April to May. We made it very clear that the rates are higher in May and that?s why your rate went up by $30 more per hour you called us to reschedule and that was a day that the rate was already full and the rate was higher. We made that very clear upon the day that you called to reschedule from April to May. I find it interesting that you?re neglecting to tell the truth in this review instead you?re making it sound like we just change the rate on you last minute which is not the truth. During your move process, the movers worked very hard in the heat over 100° weather. you were moving from within Maricopa and you had over a 1700 square-foot home. Your move got done in 5.75 hours plus the travel fee which for that size home is phenomenal. we never like to hear that a customer has damage out of all of the items that we moved that day. Your TV did get damaged. There was no physical damage on the outside but when you turned your TV on there was lines. We are within our timeframe processing your claim, we?re actually getting it done a lot quicker and had pushed it in the front Other customers claims. we have been very compliant with trying to process your claim quicker than usual. Also, in this review, there?s a lot of things that you?re saying that we?re not told to us, when we called you to get feedback about the move you told us that the movers did a great job and that the move was great, but there was just a damaged TV, we will be processing your claim this week like we had told you several times and your compensation check and letter should be mailed out this week again we never like to hear a customer has damage, we have been in business in the valley for going on 47 years were an A rated company and we have been in business for a very long time we feel like this move. Got done in a very timely manner most 1700 square-foot homes take 5 to 7 hours to move on average. Again we apologize for the damage on the tv and we will have this completed by Friday of this week.
This had this company come out when I first talk to them. They were very very understanding and gave me a very good price but that changed very very fast as they started moving me at the end the price changed numerous times Also, high valuable items are missing out of my move. They were not supposed to touch those items. I will not recommend this company to anybody and professional people.
Updated Response: After further investigation it was found out that a family member who was helping monitor the move was responsible for the missing items from this move. We are thankful that this was investigated an our company was vindicated. This was the biggest nightmare move we have ever had. This customer called last minute to book a move the same day. We get a little skeptical when someone calls last minute to move. We asked him why he waited last minute to move. We were told because he sold his house that day. Come to find out it was a rental not a house he owned. So the lies started right away. We accommodated him and got him on our schedule that day. We asked him to take three movers, he said he did not want to pay for a third mover. We told him an hourly rate and he demanded a not to exceed. We did an hourly with a not to exceed based off an inventory given by the customer. When the movers arrived they were manipulated by this customer, and were told that we gave permission to move items, take down tv's, and numerous other items that were not part of the inventory. We made it very clear that once that happens the price would change. We were met with yelling and berating by the customer. He was asked to please not talk like that and to calm down. He lied on numerous occasions on what we moved and what extra was done. He tried pulling a fast one on our company, and we tried to prevent that from happening. We were threatened and told that he was a "millionaire" Do we know who he is? He claimed to be social media influencer. We did not, and told him that that had nothing to do with the fact that he was trying to be dishonest. A few days later he called and said he was missing a box, a box that shows on camera that we loaded on the truck and unloaded it. The movers were supervised at the origin by the customer, At the unload a family member followed from the origin to the destination. The family member watch the movers unload for the first 15 minute, until the customer arrived. and the truck was checked and was empty. We were told by the customer himself that cleaners were also in the home, and other people. We tried working with this customer, but it was impossible, due the endless lies, and manipulation.
Excellent service.
.
