Project: Paint, Varnish or Stain Interior Surfaces
1. The estimator who came to the house said that at the end, the owner, Rodney would come by to do a walk-through. He never showed up and after the job was started, never heard from him again. 2. The paint crew was a husband and wife, probably late 40s who spoke very little English. It was a daily challenge for them to understand what we were asking. 3. Every morning my wife and I would need to point out areas they missed or allowed paint to flow onto other areas. 4. They would sometimes move from one area to another without finishing that room. Example: after painting the living/dining room (walls and ceiling) and getting pain all over the crown molding which they painted the day before, they started on the laundry/garage entry hallway. We had to ask them to repaint the crown molding so we could move the furniture back in place. 5. Several times we had to remind them to also paint both sides of the doors. Why they would not do it at the same time...I do not know. 6. They did work very hard and were polite and courteous. We absolutely had no problem with their work ethic. They were supposed to caulk areas that needed it. They did not until we pushed them to do it. Holes in the wall were supposed to be speckled, repaired, and painted. They were only painted over. I re-did them myself and will paint them.. 7. My office was the last and they blew thru it like a tornado. In many areas where the wall & ceiling meet, you can see old blue paint anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide. 8. When they finished and packed up the wife was going around the house using a measuring wheel. When asked why she said they are contracts and get paid by square footage. Then she said all look ok...I need to check for the balance. My wife and I are now going to the touch-up areas that should have been done. The owner may dispute this but I showed his estimator the other proposal. There was only a $10 difference. It was very formal, well written, and bullet-pointed everything they would do. They asked for no money upfront (Armor Guard asked for $2000) and stated in writing that no money is due until a walkthrough is completed with the owner and we are totally satisfied. Well that is all Archie J., Palm Harbor

Project: Paint or Stain Exterior Surfaces
Competitive pricing. They really want your business. The painters pressure washed, prepped 3-6 inch permeter, prep coated then 2 coats of paint. Gutters, soft, fascia. No drips, overspray. The painters were friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.
Response by Armor Guard Painting & Coating: thank you

Project: Paint or Stain Exterior Surfaces
Exterior project - ~2500 sq ft, 3-stories, heavy swirl stucco (so not a simple task). Salesman Tim was experienced, owner Rodney extremely responsive and assuring, on-site crew managed by Javier who was very pleasant to deal with - he handled any adjustments or issues immediately and with extreme politeness. Plus that this company met my timeline and budget also!

Project: Paint or Stain Exterior Surfaces
This was a difficult job, no doubt, but when workers showed up without a ladder (1st day) after we stressed the need to Charlie the Regional manager for a lift truck (3-story house) we started doubting our choice of painting companies. For three days these poor guys balanced on 40 ft. ladders which probably contributed to several window screens being blown out by the pressure washer and the sloppy paint job at the window trims. We were assured by the owner that they could replace rotten window trim at a few of the windows - they did but what a lousy, sloppy job - big globs of caulking and broken Hardy Board siding aplenty. Also, lots of garbage (wadded up plastic and empty water bottles) left onsite for us to clean up. Very disappointed in this company!
