Victor responded almost immediately to my quote request and was out to look at my sinking retaining wall within the day. He gave me a fair price and I hired him a few days later and was told work would start in 2-3 weeks. A crew of guys came out about 4 days later and had the rebuild finished in a day. It looks fantastic, I couldnâ t be happier!

The owner came out and outlined the steps needed in accomplishing the tasks and the following day the crew followed those to the letter and completed the job in one day. The sod has taken root with very little dead zones and I've already mowed it twice. Arreola Lawn Maintenance comes highly recommended.

I asked Arreola Lawn service to help me service and winterize my sprinkler system and they did a great job.

I hired this service provider for lawn services, the job was done but they have not provided me an invoice, I have been trying to contacted multiple times but they are not answering

I was told the shrubs would be 24 inches tall and they were barely 14 inches tall. I was told my mulch would be dark brown (almost black), it was a medium brown. Plantings were unevenly spaced so know I will have to dig and replant. I sent a photo to the company owner showing how short the plants were and got absolutely no response.

I hired Victor A in October 2020 to resurface my lawn and eliminate ruts and mounds to achieve a smooth and even landscape. He assured me he could do the job which would require an entire work day. In fact, he and his crew of seven arrived at 8:30 AM and departed before noon. Before they left, I walked the entire lawn and expressed serious concerns to Arreola and his crew chief that the surface was much worse than before they started work. Mounds of dirt and straw were present thoughout indicating a very poor job of distribution. My concerns were dismissed as he claimed the surface would settle and even out before Spring due to the natural effects of freezing, thawing, precipitation, etc. That claim has proven to be bogus. In attempting to get Arreola to address my intense dissatisfaction, he has failed to return numerous phone calls over several months. I have concluded that he is incompetent and cannot be trusted. He has made no good faith attempt to address my grievances. He charged me for a full days' work for a half day delivered. He has failed to provide an itemized breakdown of the labor and material costs to verify I was not being ripped off. He has been paid a sizable amount to complete an uncomplicated job which he botched miserably. He has also caused considerable damage to my property that will require an expensive reclamation project to correct. This has been by far my worst customer service experience since moving to Kansas City over 25 years ago.

Victor listened, understood what we wanted, added suggestions, described in detail his proposal, bid the work immediately and scheduled the job. He brought pictures of similar work to clarify how it would look and help us with choices. I've hired his company for more projects in other areas of the lawn and will continue to prefer his business vs anyone else.

A few minor issues but nothing to keep me from calling them again

This was a horrible experience. We had Victor come out to give us an estimate for leveling of our backyard for an above-ground pool with a walkway to our patio. Victor walked through with my husband to show everything he would do. When his guys showed up they had no clue what it was Victor had gone over with us. They started grading the area where our pool was going and I had to tell them 2x the pool size, they still got it wrong and had to go back and make the area bigger. They were then supposed to make the slope in our backyard less so that our pool was not sitting in a hole which they did not do and kept saying they could not. They would not speak with me and kept asking for my husband who finally had to come home one day from work early to tell them how to do things. Once complete they said the area was level for the pool, they lied. My husband called Victor who did not call him back and then would not speak to him on the phone when his workers were here and had him on the phone. Our pool is not level and is off by 8inches on the high side which is now causing such a strain on our pool that it is starting to leak. This is a brand new 22x52 pool. We now have to take down our pool, level ourselves, and get a new pool. We have yet to hear back from this company. Very unprofessional and clueless on how to do the job.

They sent someone out to access the job right away. Very friendly and professional. The job was completed beautifully within a two week period as promised. I would feel good about recommending Aerreola Lawn Maintenance to my friends.

They built a retaining wall On the back of my fence, it was a hard project and they did a great job.

Do not recommend this service at all. Victor is who I dealt with. If you have a problem he ghosts you. He finally called me back and said he no longer cleaned it builds koi ponds. He came bid the job and subcontracted the job out cause victor did not know how I guess. Then we had a contract where they would come on a yearly basis and clean out. I have trouble with rocks staying in place now. Poorly rebuilt and now it is convenient that he no longer does this. Beware he is not a man of his word and contact not worth paper is written in I have also seen his replies on his reviews where he makes up excuses for the problems. Buyer beware!

I believe I'm being generous with 2 stars so please read the full review to make your own decision to use Victor or not. I recently purchased a foreclosure property that required some grading and drainage away from the foundation. I found Victor through HomeAdvisor. His price was what I considered fair for the work and he had some good reviews mixed with some bad. Victor's bid was not terribly descriptive which caused issues through the project which I will elaborate on below. I added some specifics before agreeing to the work which caused re-work on his part as he tried to use materials not agreed upon in the contract or what I had asked for verbally and it seemed he agreed such as PVC drain pipe instead of corrugated pipe. He provided a warranty if it backs up down the road and did provide clean-outs at the downspouts...but is not what I had discussed originally with him that he did not push back on during the bidding process. I had to push back several times as the work was not well supervised and re-work had to be done. The final product with my intervention turned out pretty good. He threw some grass seed down where they dug up the yard (didn't try to save the sod and put it back down), but most of it died off and I had to replant in the fall. No follow up on his part to ensure I was satisfied or his grass seed was effective. Other things that disappointed me is complaining about not making enough money throughout the process and cutting corners that I had to say no to. That is the whole point of the bidding process and having a clearly laid out contract. When it is not clearly spelled out, then nobody is happy during the process. Make sure you have expectations well laid out in the contract so he knows what is expected as well as yourself. It will make the process much smoother. He also constantly boasted of his expertise and that I should not worry (although I had to point out where they placed the drainage popups initially would have pooled in the yard or run back into my neighbor's yard because of the grade). It was a $5800 job so not a small or cheap job. Some employees were on the phone every time I took a look. That is not my problem. We are talking about digging ditches and laying pipe with a popup at the end, Edging around the home, and laying rock. Some light grading away from the foundation. I'm not saying easy work, but it appeared he was using family members who were not interested in working at my expense mixed in with some experienced and hard-working landscape workers. One last thing. Part of the job was to pour a 5X5 concrete pad because I did not think one existed because it was muddy at the basement walk out door. Later in the year when having a termite inspection we noticed drill holes in the pad there for work that had been done previously which if it were a new pad would not be there. What this means is the slab was already there and just covered with mud and I had not realized it because we had not been in the home long at that point and coming out of winter. Victor did not tell me this, nor provide a discount for work that was on the contract that he did not have to do. I learned this 4-5 months after he had completed his work. He also said he would verticut the lawn in the contract which should have pulled out all the thatch in the lawn, but TrueGreen pointed out I had a thatch problem later in the summer. I ended up verticutting the lawn myself and pulled 24 bags of thatch out of a 1/4 acre lawn. I never saw them actually do that work either. These two things suggest Victor is not an honest man nor a man of integrity. If I had let them do it and walked in at the end, it would have likely been a 0-star job, and I would have been very unhappy, which makes it hard to recommend Victor.

This company did an excellent job for us removing some old, overgrown shrubs, rebuilding some walls and laying a new driveway. They were punctual, put in full days and had a full crew everyday. Job was completed when promised at the price quoted. We definitely would hire them again.

I was needed to operate the controller as he had no knowledge of this type. He troubles with English.

They were great putting my sod and sprinkler system in. I'd hire them a 100 times over.

Their work was exemplary. I don't usually say that about work that I have had done. They had a foreman that worked with me to solve problems we came across re-working a lawn drainage system. They did a beautiful job on building 2 retaining walls and sodding the surrounding areas. Trimmed all bushes, refreshed rock areas. Very clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

They did a great job in finding the breaks in my sprinkler system and repairing them however I did not receive any receipt even after I asked for one to be emailed to me

Not only were they affordable but the did an excellent job! I would recommend to anyone and wold not hesitate to use them again

Excellent and extremely professional job completed in one day, with commercial grade materials, starting at 8:15am with 5 hardworking employees whom were all persistent and nonstop until completion at 5:15pm. They did a couple little extras, which puts them at 6 stars. Victor, the owner, listened to what I was looking for in the project and was spot on with the concept. Not only that, he was able to start within a week from the day he gave us a bid, which was of most importance to me. He allowed us to use his company discount on flowers and mulch, as well. Lastly, of the 5 recommended pros to use as advised via Home Advisor, he was the first, quickest, and ONLY ONE to respond back. Other bids came from other sources both personal and from other advertising resources.
