Never keeps their promises, they always lie and they never reply to phone calls.

Promised to get my project done by the end of the year 2021. Then push off to Spring of 2022, then Summer, and so far only get a couple of trees cut and dig a big hole. Called them every day, no answers. do not pay them any deposit. Let then do something then pay. Otherwise, your money with your project gonna be like being thrown in the ocean.

Hired him (David) in July of 2021. Paid half. Here we are in July 2022. After he delivered some stone, removed old railroad ties, and only started new stone work, (which took months AND MONTHS), he then NEVER CAME BACK, leaving me with a backyard MESS. Had to hire a new reputable contractor who did the job in 3 days. My advice? Stay away STAY VERY FAR AWAY!

As reported in a few of the other reviews on this site, I found David and his crew to be nice people, but totally irresponsible about showing up when they said they would come to work. They would disappear and be completely out of touch, and at other times, would text that they would be at my house at a certain time, and then never show up, never contact me, or show up too late to get anything done. In addition, they left me with steps that are uneven, and unsafe with unsecured pieces of stone, and a partially rebuilt stone wall with large holes still left in it. They left their tools here, and even after I fired them, it took threats to take their stuff to the dump, to get them to come to pick up their equipment from my property. Its a shame, because they have the potential to do good work, but have no idea how to run a business, nor how to communicate with clients so that we are not wasting our time waiting for them not to show up.

The project we previously wrote about has been completed, and we are very pleased with the final outcome. The main problem, and our primary concern, described in our original review was the lack of progress and the excessive length of time already elapsed. We later learned that it was mainly due to a shortage of available labor. It was a sizeable project and through it all Dave and Karen remained courteous and receptive to our concerns and put up with our continuous pressure about the lack of progress. The shortage in labor made it necessary for them to work along side their crew to finish this project. In retrospect, the final outcome far outweighs any inconvenience. Keeping all this in mind, we are rescinding our previous rating and we are according them the full five stars. We have additional projects planned for the upcoming year and we will give Dave and Karen's company, Artisan Stone, priority consideration.

I signed a contract with Dave on 8/28/21 after going with another company. I shared with Dave that the other company attempted to find a brick to match the project and when they could not they said they would keep looking and get back to me but never did. Dave assured me he was not like the other contractor. Dave was scheduled to start the work on the weekend of Hurricane Ida (9/3/21) so it was understandable when he could so we said the following Friday (9/10/21). The following Friday comes and I texted him when he does not show and he said he was swamped. He said Sunday (9/12/21) and I said I will not be home can we do Monday (9/13/21), he said yes. It is now Monday, 9/20/21 , 7 days later and I have not heard from Dave, no show no call. As an update I spoke to Dave on Tuesday (9.21.21) and he has indicated that he will start on Monday, September 27th. I look forward to working with him and will update this review once the work is done. Well the work is still not done. This has been the worst experience ever. Dave will tell you everything under the sun as to why his team did not show up or why they are there at 5 PM. What was suppose to be is a 5 to 7 day job is now going on 5 weeks and is still not complete. Dave tried to say that due to the rain it took this long, I don't buy it. What is really happening is that Dave takes multiple jobs but does not have a large enough team to adequately support the multiple jobs he takes on. Thus my 1 week job is now 5 weeks and counting. Every day I have to either call or text Dave for an update on when they will arrive and when the work will be completed and everyday his team never shows up when they say they will and the completion of the project is always, according to Dave, it will be done by the end of the week. Here we are again at the end of the week (10/30/21) and the job still isn't done. It is now 12/17/21 and the work is finally done. While the quality of the work is good it took entirely too long.

This isn't the first I'm using them. They did a walkway for me before and they were amazing just like last time!
