Darren was great to work with and completed the job in a timely fasion, we put in a paver patio and the crew did all of the exout and brought in gravel and sand then compacted the base and constructed the patio with drainage I am happy with the result.

I had a basic idea of what I wanted to have done in my yard. I needed to have a bunch of sod pulled out and replaced with rock and have some trees planted, then I wanted a retaining wall installed across the base of the berm in my back yard (I'm on a 1/2 acre lot). Darren came out and I told him what I was looking for. Darren immediately started throwing out great ideas of how he could make my ideas even better by integrating a fire pit area into the retaining wall. While we were looking at the front yard for the grass removal, he also threw out some great ideas for one of my flower beds and the sidewalk up to the house. Long story short, the work that he and his crew did was fantastic and turned out far better than what I had initially imagined. I will definitely be calling him for any future projects that I have, very happy with the work they did. I did have quotes from a few other landscapers and in comparison to the other quotes that I got, Darren's prices were very comparable and what I got was far more than what the other companies were offering. Would highly recommend these guys!

I had a corner area in the front yard that needed work. I had a basic idea. Darren came out, listened to me, then gave some suggestions. We came to an agreement on design and price. In a short time, he had a crew here along with material and supplies. They had it finished in 1 day. We are pleased. We have received compliments from neighbors.

From our first meeting to the end of the project Darren more than satisfied our vision for our backyard; within minutes he sketched a plan that was exactly what e wanted and more. The crew was on time, courteous, and overall outstanding. We are very happy with Darren and the crew and our backyard is top notch.

I am not even sure where to start but here we go. I hired Darren and his crew to do a long awaited yard project for me. He came out and assessed our yard, gave us our estimate, explained that he requires 10% down to get the job started (which we paid him at the time of the agreement) and he left. This was April 20th. After waiting some weeks and hearing nothing from him, I called and he said that he would be out in a few weeks to get the job started that there was a death in his family and that was the reason for the delay. We understood that. Nothing from him for three more weeks. Then a random call stating that he and his crew would be out the next day to get started (we are in the middle of May now). They showed up, cleared out our front yard and laid rock on the side of our house like we wanted and left. No communication since. Shortly after, we noticed quite a few weeds popping through the rock. They did not put any weed barrier down and on top of that they removed the locks that were in the ground for my gate. Another week passes. No communication, no updates. We reached out again 2 weeks ago and they stated that they would be out at the end of this week to finish the project. Again, it is now July 7th and the job is still not done. I contacted him and let him know that we would no longer need his service and his response was I will just come and get the check for the rest and I told him that he was not getting another dime and he threatened his so called contract agreement on us. The agreement states that payment is required for services rendered. First, the services rendered were partial (the deposit pretty much covered the crappy job they did). He and his crew have done nothing more on our yard. I have since hired someone else who did an audit of the yard and the work that was done and discovered that they did not cap the sprinklers that were covered with rock meaning that they are popping through the rock layed on top of them. The new crew had to go through and find all of the sprinkler heads (through the gravel mind you) and mark them so that they could cap them. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They do not take pride in their work and they are flaky. Do yourself a favor and research then if you are thinking about hiring them. You will save so much time and effort doing so. This company is a joke.

Wish I would have read more reviews before hiring this company to landscape my new home. The design they did was great but that was the ONLY thing that was done correctly. The ground was not smoothed out before they installed the sprinklers, curbing, and plants so my new yard had humps, bumps, and low spots in it. The wrong sprinkler system was installed the first time and had to be redone 2 more times. Also wanted most of the money upfront. Also, plants died. They planted a dead bush in my back yard and when I complained about it I was told that they did not charge me for it! As if that was OK. The crew at my house had no experience with landscaping and no training. One guy was always angry and cussing about everything, I had to ask that he not come back to my property. This job started March 3 and did not get finished until July. My husband finally fixed the sprinkler system. They Hydro seeded the lawn over top of the ruts they left in it. Brought in pea gravel and filled my walkways with it, not what I wanted but again was told I was not charged for it. Now I get to move it so I can install my pavers. In my last conversation with Darren, he told me it was my fault my sprinkler system was not working correctly because we were not using well water. They knew from the beginning that we were using irrigation water. In my opinion, it was not working correctly because we hired the wrong company. I hired someone else for my other property and the work was done in two days and I have not had any problems.

I didn't know what I wanted done with my front yard but, something needed done. So Darren came out and we came up with a plan in my budget. They got it done and my front yard is probably one of the nicest looking in the neighborhood.

The owner is a true artist and designed exactly what I wanted for a new front yard. He spent time just sketching after listening to my ideas and was willing to change plants once I saw a few trees I didn't like. The work was done within a week and my front yard is now beautifully unique in my subdivision.

My backyard needed an overhaul, redesign and landscape installation. My son had such a good experience with Artistic Landscaping that I hired them for mine sight unseen. Wow! Owner spent time just sitting in my backyard getting a feel for activity around my place. His design used focused plantings to reduce outside impacts. We made a number of upgrades and changes along the way; he never asked for more money! What a great experience.

The owner and crew did terrible work. Unfinished clean up stole Bricks ,took rock pavers and laid sod that sat in sun for 3 days and now is dead. Please save your money we paid them 1600 dollars and now have to pay someone else to fix this mess.Also they moved sprinklers and did not cap them We had geisers of water in the middle of the nite and now we have huge mud holes

Curbing....Fast talker... no notes no nothing.. he has his own ideas... does not listen to the customer! Does what he wants... The finish work is bad... he argues its the cement! Want pictures? I HAVE PICTURES! He used an 18 in. sod cutter for everything! I was told that usually a 12 in. cutter is used for curbing. So I have a lot of grass seeding to do between the cubing and the existing grass. Has no guarantees...and did not do a receipt of payment! Oh..and he wants 3/4 of the job $ UPFRONT!! How many red flags have you counted so far? In his opinion.. he does not do anything wrong and it all looks great to him...so he says!! I told him what I wanted..he tried to tell me what I wanted..so I told him again what I wanted...he did what he wanted! He left said he was coming back. He never came back. He left his son in charge...but never communicated with me whether his son knew what I wanted. Called him back over the first days work... he did not see anything wrong with the already chipping crumbling cuts..? Most of the cuts! He sent his son for the balance. I said I would give it to his father. When he came back ...nothing but arguments and how petty I was being!... I shared pics with 4 other people asked them what they thought...all came back with comments of do over to crappy, So I do not think its me being picky! The arrogance of him thinking what ever he did was the best...no matter what I wanted was the kicker!! Again... I have pics!!!

We were very please with the performance and service provided by Darren, Artistic Landscapes. He was able to incorporate our ideas and budget into a beautiful landscape plan for our new house. I would definately call on him again, and recommend them.

Nice people, Great ideas. The landscpaing job looks great, however the quality of the plants I was quite disappointed in. I have already had to replace on of the plants because it died and the job was done a month ago. Communication was lacking, definately... they seem to busy.

I really wanted some arbor type structures and they can not do this.
