Let me start by saying DONT HIRE RICK!! My refrigerator broke back in the summer and I searched for someone who could come out ASAP on Angie's list. Rick called me within 5 minutes of me submitting my request through the Angie's list site. He also was able to come out the very next day. He did a quick 2 minute assessment and said we needed a new fan and sensor to fix it ($285) and that I needed to pay him the full amount before he could order it or come fix the fridge. Then it all went to Crap... Rick came out (3 weeks later) to repair our refrigerator and then left. Not even 12 hours later it completely broke down worse than before. I contact Rick since he gave us a 6 month warranty on his services. Another 2 weeks later he came back and did another assessment and said that it was the control board this time but that he needed to contact Samsung to find out (why not do this the first time...?) ANOTHER 2 weeks later I got tired of waiting on him to contact me to update me on where we were with the repair and he told me that it was probably better to just buy a new Fridge and that he would refund me our money back. That was back in November (2 months after the first service call). Well ever since then Rick has stopped returning my texts, ignoring my calls (his voicemail is always full so I couldn't ever leave a message), and on the rare occasions that I got him on the phone with a different phone number he said that he was in Michigan so he couldn't mail the refund until he got back (because Michigan doesn't have mail service and Pay Pal isn't a real thing I guess?) We're in March now and Rick still hasn't refunded us our money. The whole process costs us ~$800 if you include the spoiled groceries we had in the summer while we waited on his return service call. To reiterate: 1. If Rick's first service repair doesn't fix it, you likely won't be getting your money back or being able to come back out to repair it a second time within a few weeks 2. He's sketchy as heck and will ignore all your calls and texts. Except when it's to come get your money, then he suddenly becomes very responsive and quick 3. I'm in the process of suing him but so far he has even ignored all of messages, emails and calls from my lawyer. 4. Use anybody else. You're a deplorable "professional" Rick.

Same day service, out of Cabot, showed up on schedule, decent price, dryer back up running great, very happy!

Very quick response, good customer service focus, and efficient repair. It was hard to hear him on the phone, but he was fast and responsive, and in-person he was competent, kind, and professional.

I hired Asher Appliance to do a dryer repair. Rick Averett responded immediately and came out the same day. He detected the problem, ordered the part. He said would take two days and two day latter he was at my home fixing my dryer.

Arrived early, found the problem, quickly made the repair and all for a fair price. Very professional.

UPDATE 08/27th: He did real well as far as getting refund, however, I'm still not happy with how long it took to get resolved. I had to chase after him. ***Fast at making the service call. must pay in cash. my ice maker went out. he got one to install, also cash. doesn't make ice , runs constantly with in ice making mode. he says he will order. it has been 3 weeks. voice mail is full, he wont call you back. very difficult to get in contact. almost like he took the money and ran. now I'm out money and ice maker. because of him, i may not use home advisor again. need to find out what legal action i can take!

Professional and fast service!

Nice guy, but I felt he overcharged. Fixed washer but reconnected hot and cold water hoses backwards. I had to fix this myself later after he left.

Averett Appliance was on time, through, and knowledgeable. They were extremely courteous and explained all that was being done. The cost was much less then I expected and the site was cleaned up by them before they left. I highly recommend them for any type of applicance repair or work. I will feel good about hiring them again.

Problem was that my washing machine was not leaking, it was my pipes behind the machine. Paid $65 to find out it did not need repair. i was not here when the repairman came to my house, but my daughter was. She said he was very nice and efficient.

Repairman was on time, friendly & I felt knowledgeable about the repairs on my refrigerator. It couldn't be repaired, because the motor was gone. The frige was in my garage & he has a used appliance store. Used the service charge towards the replacement frige. Great deal & got a great replacement in good condition.

When they tell you they will be there, they are or call. Very personable people to work with.
