The technician didn't verify that the heat pump compressor functioned properly, as it was extremely cold so that the auxiliary heating would have been on. We discovered later that the compressor was not running when it should. A second technician discovered an incorrect setting of the thermostat. That solved the problem.

Since we purchased our home we have used several HVAC companies to fix what was broken in our zoned system. All other companies not only did not identify a solution or fix the problem. All of the other companies tried to "up sell" us to a brand new and unnecessary system. Asheville Air quickly determined how to fix the problem, provided an accurate quote and made the magic happen. Their office kept in touch throughout the process so I was informed about the timing. So far I'm very satisfied with the results. After this experience, I've transferred my maintenance from another vendor to Asheville Air. I'd strongly recommend.

Very nice people. The owner himself came to check it out and get the inspection taken care of. (I think with this type of project, HomeAdvisor should check back after 6 months to make sure things are going well.)

They showed up a day early, which through my plans for the week out of kilter. Then they did not have a needed part so had to come back the following day. Took a third day to have all the holes filled and foamed. And we might get to see the country inspector today. Look, the workers were pleasant and seemed competent, but the chap who came the second day wasn't the chap who did the work on the first day and it was clear the communication from the first workers to the second workers left a lot to be desired. In the end, everything worked, but I believe it could have been handled with less confusion.

Initial quote and purchase process was fine, but there were installation issues, and communication issues, as well as a failure to pass inspection. The sub contractor they hired to do the electrical work showed up unannounced at 7:30am, and did an overall shoddy job running the replacement wire to the unit, causing the inspection failure. The contractors when they completed the install did not inform me if they were done, I had to ask, and the office did not call me for a week after the install to schedule the inspection. They sent the final invoice for services before the inspection was performed.

Asheville Air and it employees are such a breath of fresh air...they are professional, pleasant and very efficient. We actually had another appointment already set up. We had recently had our air ducts cleaned and made arrangements for this company to come back and do the yearly service. Their technician had made the appointment and he emailed me with a date which was about a month away. The day before the service was to occur, no one had called me to confirm so I called them. Surprise, surprise...we were not down on their books. I figure if a company cannot do the SIMPLE things right...oh, well that is what prompted me to go another way. I have used Home Advisors before and was not disappointed. And, Asheville Air definitely did not disappoint us. The office runs smoothly, the technician was friendly, informative and very professional. And, last but not least, their pricing was very, very reasonable. I will definitely sing the praises of Asheville Air; they deserve it.
