The upshot: I hired Joe and his team to install 2 layers of drywall with Green Glue soundproofing product on a 15' x 11' vaulted wall. Joe was extremely accommodating regarding all my scheduling needs and special requests, and very attentive during the project. He and his team (2 highly skilled, hard-working, and very nice young men) arrived when they said they would, completed the work beautifully when they said they would, and left me with a professionally finished, ready-to-paint surface. The detailed version: I had hired a different, highly rated company on this site, and re-arranged my work schedule to be free on Thursday and Friday for the project. They preferred to schedule the job for Thursday, and I'd need the next day to put things back together. I had 8) 4x12' drywall sheets delivered into my small living space first-thing Thursday morning, with the understanding the workers would arrive soon after the drywall. The electric was disconnected in my living space and kitchen (except for appliances). I had moved everything out of my living space and draped my carpet with plastic. At first, start time was going to be "10-11", then "after lunch", then he texted to say they were delayed and they'd arrive at 3 to begin my job! Since the Green Glue is expensive and gooey stuff that must be applied to exact specifications (and I wanted the team to be fresh when they arrived), we agreed to start the next morning. Wasted day, my home in construction chaos, and not even an apologetic tone. I got in touch with Joe on Thursday as I continued to get the low-priority bump from the other company. My experience with Joe was quite the opposite! After discussing details, he agreed to match the negotiated price I'd arrived at with the other company, based on pictures, square footage, and job description. I appreciated that so much because I couldn't delay another day for him to come out to give a quote. Joe let me know his team could be available the next day, and was extremely patient and accommodating with all my concerns and specifications; we texted and spoke by phone quite a bit. He was honest about the fact that his team had not worked with Green Glue (few have), but agreed that everyone would watch a couple of short videos regarding application specifics. (Sound blocking needs to be done exactly right or it's all for naught.) Friday morning they arrived on time. Leni (a dry-walling maestro!) is very skilled. He made what I know (from experience) is difficult look easy. Brian was his hard-working and experienced assistant. Nice guys! Joe stayed to supervise, perhaps because none of us were familiar with working with the Green Glue. That was good, because there were some language challenges that made conveying complicated details difficult. But, after watching the short videos about application of the compound and sealant, and Joe making sure all my specifications and concerns were understood, Leni mastered the application in no ti
