They were no show 3 times-then a week after they showed up I had a very bad leak-told me they would be here by 2 -it is now 4 and still not here-I wouldnâ  t have called them again, but didnâ  t want to have to pay someone else. Never again!!!!

One star is one too many...... Twice I have been given appointments for maintenance and NO ONE showed up. There is always a lie about attempting to call me and I do not appreciate that. Last week, I was given a 5 HR window and I even contacted the company to verify if I am still on the agenda.... the woman who answered seemed nice but I suppose it was time for her to go home so whatever she did resulted in notations of multiple attempts to call me when NEVER did I miss one call from my fully functional phone. I had to follow up because Aspen has no remorse or professionalism to call their customers. I suppose the representative was annoyed that I cannot maintain my own unit. It should not be like this. I would never recommend Aspen Air Conditioning.

I had three replacement a/c units installed by Aspen. It took six months for the installation to be completed for inspection - improper fuses and other issues. Two of the carrier units had significant problems - not an issue of Aspen but: 1. The units sold did not fit in the space available so different units had to be delivered the day of installation. 2. In dealing with the defects there is no communication between the service and installation teams resulting in missed appointments. 3. Although ARS/Aspen market as one, if an ARS technician was sent for warranty work, they would not touch the unit and the appointment would have to be reset. 4. Internally, management/systems are a mess and it is impossible to get somebody responsible for completing the work. 5. Aspen itself does not have technicians available after hours. Not a problem for charged work but warranty work, that means it does not get addressed. 6. When appointments were made it appears that, due to no 5, if an Aspen technician was behind and I had an appointment in the 12-5 window, they would not show and no notification that was that case - another no-show. 7. With the problems with the 2 identical units (same problems - both coils replaced, recurring communication faults) I would have expected them to take initiative and contact carrier for possible replacement of units or to address all known manufacturing defects. I expected too much. 8. In dealing with the reception people when you call, they try hard to get the right person to address. However, I never received calls back from service/installation managers or dispatch to find out timing, approach, etc. It appears that, when a project goes sideways, their method of dealing is to hide and pretend it will go away.

Charged $295 to replace part. Next day ac not working again. Wanted to charge me $150 service fee. Said someone would come between 4 and 7. Never came. Never called. Have not heard from them since.

They have not finished the job in spite of several return calls. Day of install we had a list of 5 things that needed attention. A Though they have made many promises, that have not delivered. In fact, they started to fix one major item, disconnected power to outside unit, then left in the middle of the job. BAD. I've called the quality manager, sales person, and install supervisor. All have made promises then not delivered. I called a Home Depot number and left a message but have not had a return call as yet. This is unacceptable to me..

I called home depot to ask them for Air Conditioning in my home in Boca Raton. They sent me Aspen Air Conditioning. I thought because they were recommended by Home Depot that they would be reliable. It was far from that. They installed two condensers, two air handlers and electronic air filters. They did a mediocre job and I had to hound them to install the air filters that I ordered. They told me that the wrong ones came in, but the ones that came in were better. I listened to them. It took forever anyway. They did not communicate well at all. After six months they called me and said they should come out and do the six month checkup. They said it was no charge so I made an appointment. Their serviceman came out and did what he said was a check up. That night before I went to bed I saw that water was pouring out of the ceiling and down the walls of my house. I had to call several time for them to respond but someone came out after about two hours. He said he could not fix it and that someone would be out first thing in the morning. No one came so I called, they eventually did come out after many calls. The new serviceman said that the serviceman that came out to do the original service call bent the drain line so the water could not drain and that the safety switch was not hooked up properly. I stayed with them while they worked and had to tell them that they were plumbing the drain line incorrectly because they way they did so would prevent the removal of the electronic air filters. So they redid the plumbing under my direction. ( I am not a HVAC person but I saw that they were doing the job incorrectly ). I asked the serviceman who was going to repair all the damage from the water that leaked down the walls, onto my soffit, cabinets and floor. They said they would tell the installation manager named OMAR and he would call me in the morning. He never did. I called and left 6 messages for him to call, threatened to tell Home Depot, threatened to sue, he never called me back. Never hire them, they are the worst. Home Depot, you should be ashamed of who you recommended. I actually paid Home Depot for the work, not Aspen. BEWARE they are the worst.

I have used Aspen for over a year. I had 2 different servicemen that came out. Every time they came out to service my A/C, they would find something that needed to be fixed (even though my A/C was cooling). One time they sold me a thermal expansion valve because they said they could tell it was going bad. I asked how long it would last and they said there is no way to know, so I replaced it because I was afraid of being without A/C soon. The next time they came out, they told me my unit was low on refrigerant and they charged me for that even though the refrigerant should have been topped off when they installed the new thermal expansion valve 6 months earlier. Then they told me the run capacitor on the compressor and the motor on the air handler also were both going bad. Again I asked how long they would last, and they said they cannot give me an answer. The air conditioner is only 6 years old but it is out of warranty so I would have to pay for all this. After this, I called 2 other A/C contractors who both told me they do not replace a part until it actually stops working because sometimes they last 2 more years. So I believe Aspen business model is to get money from every trip. Beware of letting them service your unit.

An expensive leak detection test was performed. However, no leak was found. The technician advised that if there was a leak in the line, they would not know how to fix it. During the work, the technician dropped caulk which damaged my wood floor. I advised the service manager, who sent someone out to inspect. The service manager agreed to work with me on the repair. However, after I paid for the repair using the company the service manager requested, the service manager refused to return phone calls or letters. A total lack of integrity. I canceled my service agreement. I should have read more reviews before working with this company.

Should have read the yelp reviews first! Aspen just left my house. They charged my $99 for a "diagnostics" on my AC unit which wasn't working. Then after maybe 2 minutes of "diagnostics" they said the problem was the capacitor. I left for a few minutes and when I came back they had installed it and told me that I owed them $350!!!. My contract says that the parts are still under warranty, and after talking with their service manager he said he would charge me $245 - a flat rate for labor! 10 minutes of labor. I tossed these clowns (not the guys making the service call) and called a local guy who is going to charge me $160 to install the capacitor. Yes, i'm losing $15 on by doing it this way, but Aspen will not get another penny from me. Or another call.

i originally asked for estimate for replacing existing a/c unit that was recommend by another company. the representative whom came out gave me an estimate price. he then recommend i get a repair estimate from his company before spending money on new unit. the service call found a leak in system. did repair and saved thousands of dollars. unit is working better then ever. highly recommend Aspen Air Conditioning
