These guys were great! They came in with the best quote and I got incredible results. Not only did they replace the asphalt on my driveway, but they improved it by making sure the rain water drains away from the house. They even added a protective coating! My driveway looks great! I would definitely recommend them to other people.

The service was excellent; I call Asphalt Direct Paving to get a quote to rip out my old driveway & put a new one, he gave me great price for the project and on the same week he came out & provided me a new driveway & I am so pleased with them, I highly recommend Asphalt Direct Paving, and also he and his crew work very professional always.

Two neighbors were having their drives completely redone. I had asked Steve about giving me a quote for filing in a sunken part of the driveway. He had told me it would be better to resurface the driveway. It would last longer and all the sunken parts would be gone. He's a very down to earth guy who knows his stuff. Where the water had been ponding in several places on the drive are gone. The drive looks outstanding and the neighbors have noticed what a great job he did. The crew made sure the drive was done right. I would definitely hire him again.

Asphalt Direct was paving my neighbor's driveway when Steve, the owner approached me about repaving my driveway.

I agreed and they repaved my driveway and it looked good. Two weeks later, aggregate became loose and a few potholes started to form. I called them several times and got no response, so I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Steve finally called me back, came out and offered to make it right. Since it was no longer paving season, they agreed to fix in the spring of 2013.

They came out and repaved the driveway in the summer of 2013. Again, it looked good until it started to rain. They had piled so much material on my driveway that they changed the slope and rain ran into my garage. Again, Steve offered to make it right.

They offered to build up a curb to prevent the rain from running in. I agreed. The person they sent used asphalt that was very rough and the curb looks bad. They piled even more material near the entrance of my garage so now it is now 2" higher than the entrance. It is like hitting a speed bump each time I enter or exit my garage.

Also, the person was careless with the torch and melted several panels of my siding. Steve, offered to pay for repair of siding so I got several quotes and presented it to him. Steve backed out instead offering to trade a "free" seal coating. He kept on insisting that it be done soon even though I had been told that seal coating should be done a year after the driveway was laid.

By then, I had given up and didn't want Steve or his crew anywhere near my house. It is now Spring 2015 and the curb that he built is starting to fall apart and a couple of areas of the driveway have started to form potholes.

I do not recommend him at all. in fact, this incident is what prompted me to join Angie's List.

Asphalt Direct paved our driveway in October, 2013. The next day we called Mr. Steve
Stanko, the owner, to let him know the driveway surface was uneven with some
large voids. He came out to look at it. We walked around the driveway and
pointed out the problems. He agreed to fix the problems and assured us he would
?make it right?. He said it was too late in the year to do it now and he would
come out in the spring. There was more erosion over winter with many more
stones coming loose and washing away.
We didn?t hear from him in the spring so we called him in June, 2014. He set a
date to do the repair and didn?t? show up or call. This was repeated two more
times ? we called, a date was set and no show or call.
After three tries with no action we contacted the BBB in August . After going
through the steps of filing a complaint and waiting for responses Asphalt
Direct came out on Sept. 29, 2014 to fix the problems. They did some patching
followed up by an asphalt spray coat later the same day. The patches look like
patches and the spray coat did not fill in the voids. It did not help the
patched areas to blend in or stop the gravel from coming loose.
The initial job and the cosmetic ?touch-up? are of poor quality material and
workmanship. The driveway does not look better than it did before Asphalt Direct
paved it. We are disappointed in the result and Asphalt Directs failure
to do a good job and make it right as promised. We will not use Asphalt Direct
again and would never recommend them to anyone else.

Steve assessed the situation and offered solution which saved some dollars versus a total tear out. The crew was very responsive to my questions and concerns and changed the approach a bit to satisfy me. They finished in one day including all clean up...other than having a beautiful new driveway, no one would know they were here.
