Wood Flooring - Install or Completely Replace
APPARENTLY YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR Although the rates may be good the service, quality and customer service of Fred Roth and Associated General Productions get major failing grade. Once Fred Roth and his workers "finished" the job I had to have him come back to put an additional coat of polyurethane on the floors due to the ruff and raised grain. Perhaps it was not sanded in between coats? Also, they had not filled even close to all the holes in the wood (usually the holes are filled with wood filler and sealed over top). Although it was a scheduling nightmare, slowing the production on the house, Fred did come up to put another coat of poly on the floors. HOWEVER in the process he spilled a whole can of it on the front deck!!! It also splashed on the main entry door and siding. Unfortunately I have TREX decking so you cannot sand and refinish it, it must be replaced...Ok, so a mistake...but the joker left and didn't mention a word of it. Perhaps I wouldn't notice the front entry to my house was ruined??? Once I discovered the mess I called and called and called. Finally several days later, he answered and admitted he was responsible for the spilled poly. He wanted to come up and look at it and take measurements (which I had already given him over the phone). So a few days later he showed up late and without a tape measure. Long story short: although he promised he would right his wrong and replace my decking he never came back after that either to fix it or reimburse me for my loss. All in all it will cost close to $950.00 to redo the front decking, plus additional money to sand and fix the front door and siding...not to mention a great big hassle and a ton of my time. And, after all that he still never filled the holes in the wood!! I would not recommend Fred Roth or Associated General Productions to ANYONE. They are far from professional and their work is haphazard at best.

They were amazing! They were able to sand and refinish an original wood floor which had linoleum glued onto it since 1960. It turned out amazing and I would use them again and again.

They got the job done and overall its a good install. There are just one nitpick - the laminate finished at the top of some stairs. That transition is shaped like an L. The transition they came up with was not that great, with a nosing on the main piece and the 6" L part has nothing. I asked for a better solution, but that's all they could come up with. In the meantime, I had a friend suggest a better alternative.
