Reviews
Write a ReviewOur kitchen and guest bathroom project primarily involved installation of granite countertops and subway tile backsplash as well as installing new sinks, faucets and a cook top in the expanded island. They were true professionals from the beginning when selecting granite and through all stages of the project until completion. All of the workers were courteous, cordial, punctual and excelled to complete the jobs in a timely manner. The final result was outstanding and we highly recommend Atlanta Stone Works.
This was for a kitchen counter install. Replacement of laminate counters An hour into the install one of the two installers asked to use the bathroom (which is fine). After he was in there for 20 mins, he came out and I offered him the soap (which had been removed prior for refill), and he declined. Numerous smoke breaks. At one point I had to ask a question, so I step outside where they were to ask. And they apparently had some friends stop by, as there was another car there with a man and women in it that the other installer was talking to. The woman ask me for a pen. I went inside, grabbed a pen and gave it to her. This is the last time I saw that pen. At the beginning of the install I had asked about the plumber (I was told previously during the estimate process that everything would be hooked up that same day). The plumber never arrived that night. I got 3 stories as to why 1. The installer said it was his fault and he forgot to call him 2. One of the managers (?) said the person that usually sets it up, set it up for the next day and they forgot to tell me 3. The plumber said nobody told him anything until that night when he was scheduled for the next day When asked about the issues with the plumber the installer gave me his personal story about being divorced and how he got a chance to see his kid, and they is why he was late. They used VERY strong smelling chemicals, and we were not given any warning of this through the process. After 4-5 hours of work. It was âinstalledâ with several issues. They missed caulking areas. And the areas that were caulked has the spacing sticks left in them. The bar top that met the wall was crooked, so they cut a small square piece and fit it in, it looked horrible. This is a big one, they were supposed to seal it before they installed itâ¦it was not sealed. This was done a few days later, and I had to get the kids out of the house due to the smell. An overhanging piece from the bar-top did not line up with the backsplash beneath it, once again, looking very bad. They overcut the holes for the outlets, so the plugs were coming out, and you could see the cut marks as the outlet plates didnât cover them. They didnât secure the dishwasher back, so it was moving around. It seemed that they came very unprepared as they keep asking to borrower paper towels and our bath towels. After I notified the office of the issues, Joe came out and made right what he could. They did eventually get back out and correct the problems by replacing the granite that was cut wrong. But this was a horrible experience and I cannot recommend them to anybody.
We did have a few issues with this job but all problems were taken care of at the convenience of the homeowner as well as apologizing for the inconvenience. We take full responsibility for the issues and made them right. We have been in business for 17 years and rarely have these problems. Lastly, the Installer on this project was terminated after these issues were revealed.
Very honest and dependable!
They had a great selection of granite, great pricing, and understood the application and setting. They were very knowledgeable and professional staff!
They were prompt, courteous, professional, and did a great job of repairing and servicing our granite counter tops. We will use them again for future projects.
The edges were not cut to requested style, the workers left debris in house and all over the floor, molding was not put back on properly, and they still have not came back out to fix it when they stated they would. I would definitely not recommend them for ANY more projects. VERY disappointed.
This job was completed and serviced. Debris left was from another contractor.
The chip repairs and re-caulking look very good and I am pleased with your service. I can slighly see the repairs where the epoxy may have shrunk a little, but it was explained to me that it would not be undetectable.
Homeowner had some small chips in a silestone countertop that we repaired by filling with epoxy. She also had grout that had cracked between the tile backsplash and the countertops that we recaulked.
