In early 2021 my wife and I purchased a 100-year old home in the Old NE section of St. Petersburg. The home needed significant work, virtually a total rehab. When the time came to start considering painting contractors, we ran into a road block. Several contractors made promises on availability and cost; none of those promises were kept until we met Juan Romero from Attention to Detail Painting. Juan and his experienced team were a breath of fresh air. Our initial meeting was extremely professional and left me with the impression that Juan loves what he does. His initial focus was on the prep work that would be necessary to get our home ready for paint. From there he turned his attention to the vision that we had for our home, specifically the colors and texture of the paint to be applied to our home. Following our meeting, Juan provided us with a detailed proposal and timeline to paint our home. Juan and his team showed up on time, worked hard every day and were very respectful of our property. The end result was absolutely amazing and far exceeded our expectations. Many of our guests have commented on the painting of our home. Several even stated that they thought the exterior of our home was brand new!! We were beyond happy with our experience with the exterior of our home so we hired Juan for the interior as well. As with the exterior, Juan knocked it out of the park. If you are looking for an honest, well mannered, hardworking painting contractor who is passionate about his work, Juan is your man. I think the world of Juan and his team and fully recommend Juan and the extraordinary team that he has built.

I have used Juan and Attention to Detail Painting on three projects, two of which were extensive in scope, over the last 8 years. I hired Attention to Detail Painting, not once but twice. You might say I'm a something of an "early adopter" with a talent for spotting, well: talent. Let's rewind to 2012. I had just purchased a house. First time owner with a real fixer-upper, badly in need of painting. As it was a 2 story house, me being a man of some girth and wisdom (but mostly girth) have a perfectly reasonable fear of ladders, I decided against trying my hand at amateur painting, opting to hire a professional instead. Problem was, I was on a shoestring budget after wiping out my savings for the deposit on the house. Enter: Attention to Detail Painting. Not only did they come in with a surprisingly competitive bid, the owner (Juan) was incredibly personable! Based almost entirely on his vibe, I went with my (considerable) gut feeling and accepted his bid. Not only did he beat the competition's prices, he did a FANTASTIC job on my house. The paint held up really well for nearly a decade and when it came time to update the color scheme, I didn't even bother with shopping around. I went right back to Attention To Detail. Six months later, I am in love with the brand new look of my not-so-brand-new house. On both jobs, Juan and his crew did really thorough prep-work and cleanup. Juan was always very communicative when it came to any surprises. When he encountered some wood damage on my eaves, he was able to skillfully replace the damaged wood before continuing the job. He even alerted me to a potential electrical problem he observed while preparing to paint in my back yard. I'm not saying Juan saved my house or anything, but the electrician who came out the next day dropped words like "wow" and "lucky". Heroes don't always wear capes. Sometimes, they sling paint. One last data-point for the undecided: my mom stopped by to oogle the work on my most recent job. She later commented to me that Juan was the only guy she'd ever seen to "wear a man-bun well". Take from that what you will. At the end of the day, my house looks good, it didn't burn down, I didn't break the bank, and an entire hairstyle was redeemed in the eyes of my mother. How many other paint companies can you say that about?
