Here is the review!!! If you are looking to be scammed, this is the moving company to choose! They will lure you in with attentive and consistent communication, a reasonable price, and what appeared at the time to be a fair delivery time window. Also, if you are moving out of state, they will subcontract you out to even MORE scammers, if you did not think that was possible just wait and see they subcontracted another company as you can imagine, Authority Movers did not disclose this!)! I was told multiple times that my out of state move would take 4-7 days. Guess what? Multiple that 7 Days by about 4. Yes, you read that correctly! I moved on April 25th, to have my things arrive on May 20th! The 4 to 7-day frame turned into digging into the fine print of reading that they really have 21 BUSINESS DAYS and you better bet they intend on using it. If you are still interested in moving forward, I will give you a little tidbit of advice, purchase an AirTag! I put an AirTag in my boxes and on my several follow up calls there were occasions where I was blatantly lied to (them telling me they were in route) when I could see they were sitting at their warehouse in NJ. Can not forget the time I was told my items were getting ready to be shipped the next couple hours (this was a Thursday night) only to find out Saturday that they could not find a driver due to the Mothers Day weekend. Note to self, make sure your sub logistics company does NOT observe hallmark holidays. If you want to further the scam, their payment methods will surely seal the deal! I was told at first Zelle/Venmo would work for the pickup payment with sub contracts , as the first payment was done via CC with Authority Moving. Well, conveniently over a week later I was told this was incorrect, you guessed it! They only would accept methods of payments that no doubt the IRS would deem acceptable good old wire transfer! But of course, what option do you have when these trustworthy folks have all your belongings. It gets better! They will also just happen to do â research on your street before telling you your things are en route to let you know that their truck would not be able to make it on your street and you would require a shuttle. So, for a fine price of $700 extra I was told my things would be forthcoming. When finding out my options, the polite woman on the phone told me (in AZ at the time) that I could just get my own truck in NJ. Customer service was five stars, indeed. After many nags about wanting to pay with Zelle, it MIRACULOUSLY was an option again at the final payment. Amazing! The drop off was sunshine and rainbows as one would expect, the driver was incredibly rushed to get to their next drop off location. Do not even bother labeling your boxes with key words like â fragile or indicating which was is up on the box. This does not matter! All boxes were upside down, it was great for anxiety seeing the driver and his partner tossing these boxes to each other from the truck! All in all, if you are looking for a great moving experience that involves scams in all directions, I would recommend giving this organization a call!
