Avolta Power, Inc.

This is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. They seem to be completely incapable of communicating either with the customer or within the company. We had to submit the same paperwork multiple times because they apparently kept losing it. They punctured a hole from the outside into my bathroom and only sent someone out to fix it months later after multiple complaints. They never actually told us when the panels were finally ready to turn on (I had to call and ask, at which point they told me the panels had been ready for several weeks). And to top it all off, they did not properly scope the job and, despite their assurances that the panels would cover our energy usage, they are actually only providing roughly 1/4 of our actual power. So we spent around $30,000 to reduce our power bill by 25%. When asked about this, they told me they had done an internal investigation and found they had done nothing wrong. Apparently, they used to go by another name but changed it to avoid all the negative reviews. Avolta is a bad company run by people with absolutely no ethics or concern for their customers. If I could give them a rating of less than zero, I would.

Had a great experience with Avolta. Our spaceman was very informative and connected with us throughout this process. It did take longer then we had hoped to get installed. From what we've heard from others install times in our area take some time. The city we live it doesn't make it easy. Overall Avolta did a great job. I referred , my co worker and got a $500 referral. Were turned on now and saving money. Thanks Avolta!

They stood up the city inspector multiple times. I had to burn 3 vacations for them to not show up to appointments. Getting help is like pulling teeth. This is the most unpleasant interaction with a contractor I have ever had. I had to sit on the phone for 2 and a half hours just to get ahold of a supervisor after they did not show for the inspection that they scheduled. It was treated with no remorse about being stood up for inspections 3 times. On top of that, the supervisor Damion actually hung up on me and refused to tell me why I was stood up for three inspections. Do not use this company. They have shown remorse for their failings. I am worried that we do not have any recourse in the future if the panels stoped working and given their heinous customer services with except that of Star and Rachel, I am now worried that I got a lesser quaintly workmanship. Go with someone local so you can go to their door when this happens.

Avolta (formerly Total Solar Solutions, Bello Solar, and Brio Energy) is a terrible organization. They mislead me during discussions prior to contract signing, have terrible communication, and ultimately duped me out of about $10,000. I was promised to be enrolled in my utilitys solar rewards program and was not (over $5k in lost rebates) and was lead to believe my system will produce 97% of my annual energy use (but is actually only sized for 77%). This company does not know the requirements of my state, did not execute the project properly, I was reassigned to 5 different project managers in a year, and the system was not working properly for the first 12 months. I have tried to reconcile these shortfalls with Avolta for several months, and they are unwilling to come to the table. They wont even have a manager who has any decision making powers call and talk to me directly. They will only communicate through a middle man who knows nothing. This an extremely poorly run and DISHONEST business. Stay away.

Seems to be a very professional competent company but don't trust their sales team. I wasn't told I needed to sign some paperwork in order to have a site survey completed to ensure our house was a good candidate. I was told, several times, that I would be able to back out and that it was not binding, I get that I failed to check what I was signing, but more failures ahead on Avolta. So I signed the paperwork, got the site survey, and I am now stuck with a 15% cancelation fee. Avolta is supposed to assign a project manager with weekly communications updating the status. I have not heard from anyone in 3 months. 1 month ago I called and requested to cancel and never heard back. The sales team mislead me and the company failed to communicate, in the slightest, and now I will be paying the 15% cancelation fee out of principle for being manipulated and their lack of communication. I do not trust this company and would not recommend

He was very efficient, nice, and got the job done really fast.
