He never started the job took 10,000 dollar deposit beware dont think he was ever going to do job would not give me a contract got an estimate 4months later wont return money have to sue gave 1 star because have to want people to know how unprofessional and way over his head

Contracted to remodel 2 bathrooms, install hardwood floors and interior paint, Valdemar principal of Awesome Construction proceeded with a cost overrun of approx. 40 % over the original bid, working alone at an excruciating slow pace, every single day 1 or 2 hrs late with respect to the scheduled start time at 8 am, work day typically ending no later than 3 pm,. Suboptimal interactions with suppliers, dragging the bathrooms work to only close to completion for over 8 weeks from the 2 weeks agreed upon.  A shower diverter would not operate properly, namely it would not divert the flow from the shower head to the hand held shower: at the end I had to call my plumber to fix the problem.  Valdemar then lined up one person and this persons girlfriend for the hardwood floors work, circa 600 ft2, to be completed in less than two days he declared.  When the work did not start the day agreed upon, i contacted other installers and it took 4 persons working 10 hour-days two days to complete the work.  After beginning the paint job, Valdemar and Awesome Construction disappeared, they did not reply to messages or phone calls.  They did not complete the work in the bathrooms and obviously the house painting, they did not repair the damage to the ceilings and stairs they had done while installing the new plumbing or moving items up and down and left the house dirty and with construction debris throughout.  A nightmarish experience, generated by lack of professionalism, by ignorance of usual business practices, by lack of abidance to agreements and probably, ultimately, by lack of competence to handle the job. Most definitely I can not recommend neither Valdemar nor his company Awesome Construction and would actually suggest to exert extreme caution in dealing with either so as to avoid an arbitrary interpretation of time frames and cost as well as an incomplete job, unrepaired damages and deception.

Valdemar, Ney and Jorge were fantastic! They were very responsive, thorough, efficient and reasonably priced. They removed wallpaper, painted the walls, ceiling and trim for our entire kitchen including cabinets, and they painted the walls, ceiling and trim for our bathroom, living and 3-season porch. They also installed the flooring in our kitchen and replaced the carpet in our 3-season porch. Everything was done with care and attention to detail. All 3 were very pleasant to work with and very patient and flexible when we had to make last minute changes to the paint colors that we had selected. I highly recommend working with this team will absolutely use Awesome Construction again!
