BattleBorn Painting

Battle Born painted both the interior and exterior of our house a coupe of years ago, and they did impeccable work. This involved a lot of wood trim and door staining, and the results look fantastic! Now we've hired them to apply coating to the concrete floors in our woodworking shop and garage. As we've come to expect, everyone was a pleasure to work with: professional, prompt, and friendly. The floor was a little rougher and less consistent than I was expecting, but I'll chalk that up to the extremely cold temperatures during application. The stem walls were especially rough, but they came back the next week to remedy the situation. I'll definitely use Battle Born for all my future painting/coating needs.

Battle Born did 2 projects for me. They painted my cabinets and the main areas of my house, baseboards, trim, and doors. All their people are great and Derek went above and beyond to do some fixes for me. It's like having a new home without moving.

After purchasing a new house and living in it for a few weeks, we realized we really need to update the paint inside to make it our own. I contacted Battle Born Painting for a quote and they came right out and walked through the house with me. We got put on the books for a few weeks later and then a week before they contacted me saying they had extra time to start early which was convenient for me, but I hadn’t moved all the furniture yet. Derek reassured me that his guys would help with everything that was needed. They showed up early the next day to start. Everything was very smooth and work started immediately. They helped move furniture and worked around my schedule to make things easier. Three days and the entire house was painted, all holes patched and they even helped get rid of some older handicap bars in the master bathroom. The guys were quick, nice and courteous to the kids and I while they worked. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for painting inside or outside in the future.

I recently had Battle Born painting come out and do full exterior paint as well as gutter installation. At the beginning I was pleased with their prompt responses and even though they were not the cheapest bid, I decided to go with them based on reviews and having one company to do both instead of dealing with two separate companies. At the color consultation I asked to see the gutter colors so we could pick a trim color to match and they would be a 100% match. I was told “we don’t have specific colors for the gutters we can match any color you pick”. OK i thought and we pick our trim and main colors. I also asked them to not paint our almost new garage door and that I want the main house color to match as close as possible to the garage door color. Fast forward to paint day and all seems well, I find a few missed spots and they were corrected quickly. They also did an “ok” job cleaning up a spot that had massive overspray on my deck from a poor job masking off. Ok I thought, not a huge deal. They did a horrible job cleaning up afterwards and I picked up almost a 5 gallon bucket of trash from my yard. They call the gutter department and guess what they never scheduled the second part of the job (the gutter install). Now I’m delayed month on the gutters well after weather already hits. I found flaking paint within days and spots they completely missed painting all together. They also painted over my light sensor and caused my exterior lights to stay on all the time (another thing I had to go back and fix). Then come to find out they painted my garage door even though I asked them not to and was told no problem we won’t paint it.( they also missed spots on the door and is now very visible when door is being opened.) Fast forward to my gutter install and they have half the house done when we noticed they were installing the wrong color gutters that did not match the trim color at all. A phone call and some texts were sent and they apologize for the mistake but continue to blame me for the error based on photos I sent them, even though they had the paint code they painted my house with. (I also sent the paint names along with the picture) Ok people make mistakes but come on. Then the rescheduling kept happening. They said they would be there on a Saturday, I miss photos with my kids to be there only to find out they are not coming. I had to call them after they were over an hour and a half late to find this out. They finally come up with another day and I’m promised the whole crew will be there to knock it out. Only one guy shows up, not a whole crew, he also shows up late. Finally the owner shows up an hour after the first guy. Then I’m told my rear gutters must be cut in 2 pieces instead of one seamless piece due to the length and only having 2 guys on site to install. I tell them that’s not what I want and agreed to help move the piece into place to make it work. I even called in one more person to make it work for them. After a while the owner leaves and now it’s back to the one employee trying his best to finish the job but alas he doesn’t have enough pieces to finish. He has to reschedule again to bring the correct pieces and another visit to install the drip edge due to weather (not his fault but if it were done on the first visit it would not have been an issue). They show up late to the final appointment and finally finish and now it leaks between the gutters and the facia board. Not happy at all with the price I paid to have poor quality work done. But don’t worry they were quick to cash the check. I do not recommend this company. Maybe If they come out and correct/fix what was done I’ll change my review.
