Chris Bailey is a THIEF! No work was done, yet a large check was cashed and a million promises made. We hired another company. So dishonest and a pathetic liar. DO NOT HIRE CHRIS BAILEY

Avoid this company? especially Chris Bailey?at all costs. We hired him in Feb 2024 to build a simple detached garage. After permitting, work began in June 2024, but by May 2025, it was still unfinished. The project was supposed to take 3 months, but stretched to 11 with more inactivity than progress. We recently hired someone else to complete it and fix numerous issues. Chris is incompetent, dishonest, and lacks accountability. We lost over $15K due to undelivered windows, wasted brick, and correction costs. This does not include the amount we have paid the new contractor to complete the project. Subcontractors showed up demanding payment we already gave to Chris. Concrete cracked within a week, doors were framed incorrectly, and the roof lacked ventilation and drip edge. The driveway is uneven, and the drain was installed uphill and filled with debris?completely useless. Chris constantly made excuses and blamed subcontractors. Worst contractor I have ever worked with. Do not hire him.

Avoid this company and specifically Chris Bailey at all costs. He is a fraud, liar, thief, and incompetent in every aspect. We had to sue this company because they dishonest took approximately $17,000 from us after hiring them to build an addition onto our house. Chris Bailey is a thief and will steal from you and lie repeatedly. We hired this company and signed a contract in January 2020. He is inept and blatantly lies and provides fraudulent, made up documentation in order to attempt to swindle, defraud, and steal from his customers and sub contractors. We paid a deposit of 20% of our contract price, and after firing him for shoddy work, lies, fraudulent behavior, and lack of work he walked away owing us $17k. We sued him and were awarded full judgement amount but he has yet to pay back any amount of what he stole from us. We also paid him for material purchases of windows and a new HVAC unit. He took this money and never delivered our products. His work is not done to code, and he does not pay his subcontractors. As a result, he does not have any reputable subs willing to work for him for the duration of a project. Chris Bailey and BGT Construction are a sham of a person and company and will only steal from you and your family. We are in the process of submitting formal complaints with the State of TN Commerce Department, Insurance Department, and Board of Contractors. We hope to get his GC license revoked so that he may not steal, defraud, and swindle other families. Please, do not give this individual or company any business as they are unethical, dishonest, and will never deliver on any promises or expectations. All he does is provide excuses and lies. He should rot in jail for his practices and behavior, but he hides behind his LLC so that he cannot be held personally liable. I implore you not to use this company or Chris Bailey. He took our money and did not do any work for 4 months. We had to fire him. Now he will not answer our phone calls or pay our money back. We might have to get a lawyer and take him to court.

Although I was a little skeptical of Chris Bailey at first, he did a first rate job building my detached garage. The finished product looks great, and was built to my exact specifications. I would reccomend Chris and BGT to anyone who needs a custom build.

I just started working with Chris @ BGT to work on my custom home build, but I can already recommend him over every other builder I met with. Chris goes ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure you are satisfied with every single detail. Can t wait to see the finished product!

I DO NOT recommend hiring BGT Construction. We are 15 months and counting on a 3-month project. We have had numerous issues including poor quality of work (mold in crawl space due to lack of ventilation, window framing issues), failure to adequately finish projects (tile was not fully grouted, yard was partially reseeded), no shows for workers when scheduled (on one occasion, workers dropped off equipment to give the illusion that they were coming, but came back early in the morning and took the equipment away without doing a thing) and lack of communication of almost all major steps in the project (electrical wiring placed incorrectly, tile installed incorrectly, attic insulation installed incorrectly, etc.). Workers are not properly supervised which leads to incorrect work and then delays with rework. Workers show up for half a day and then do not return for another month. When speaking with Chris, owner of BGT Construction, he is always promising that the work will be done in the next few weeks or that workers are coming the next day, but we are consistently disappointment when those promises are broken. We had a 45-day notice for electrical service release, which we reminded Chris of almost daily and no effort was made of his part to meet the deadline. Workers leave their trash, including cigarettes, food waste, beverage containers, and construction debris in our yard and in the project area. We have been more than patient by giving Chris the benefit of the doubt when he would offer excuses, most of them personal, but after 15 months of excuses and neglect to fulfill his contractual obligations we are beyond frustrated. Our lives have been disrupted by this process and we have experienced significant stress throughout. Writing a negative review is completely out of nature for me, however, this experience has been so bad that I am concerned for anyone who might be considering hiring Chris. I only wish that we had the opportunity to understand the way Chris operates his business with other client reviews without having to personally live through this nightmare ourselves.

Chris Bailey, the company owner made me feel great during the entire experience. He stopped by on many occasions to check the work of his sub-contractors, and always asked if I was pleased with what was happening. I decided to change a couple of things "on the fly," and Chris always made sure they happened, and at a minimal cost. I definitely recommend BGT Construction for any building project in the area.
