We are a small 12 unit condominium in Clearwater Florida and contracted with B. Griffith Roofing in Dec. 2022 to replace our roof. Throughout the project, Brent communicated well, responded to questions promptly, and was always available when needed. As a customer, we felt valued and in safe hands. As a small condominium, our budget was tight, and Brent worked with us to provide a reasonable estimate for the job. Even when there was some haggling over pricing and extra costs due to our roofs age, it was all extremely minimal, and he didn't try to take advantage of our situation. The workers were respectful of our property, ensuring that they didn't damage any landscaping or property features while working. The small issues were â taken care ofâ just as Brent said they would be as well. The site was also kept clean and tidy throughout the duration of the project. Overall, B. Griffith Roofing company provided excellent service and quality workmanship at a fair price. We love our new roof and would definitely recommend them.

Excellent job by Griffith Roofing! First, they carefully removed our tile roof. Then they installed our brand new burgundy colored guaranteed roof shingles. See our photos. In July 2021, I hired B. Griffith Roofing to replace the roof on my 1300sqft house and now I Regret it. The job was done decently, but they scammed me on the price. Not complaining about the quality, but I am complaining about them pulling the old switcheroo. I signed the contract for just over $11k and they presented me with a final invoice for almost $15k. So Illegal so criminal, and when I refused to pay the $15k, they just put a lien on my house. To save any would-be victims, take a hint here, and read reviews before you decide to hire this company. I should have done my research and read the reviews, cause later, after the fact of this issues arousing, I found out, by reading the reviews, that this company had done this same thing to other people, and I would have definitely chosen someone else to have done my roof. Prior to them starting the roof job I had cleared and repaired over 70% of the roof job myself, and as a homeowner, I would have finished the whole job if it was not for the city of Clearwater forcing me to get a permit, therefore forcing me to hire a contractor. I had cleared the tiles and repaired the roof wood on more the half of the pitched section of the roof and all of it on the flat part of the roof, so they only had less than half of the pitched section to clear repair. I also had repaired most of the rotten rafters and had put some of the fasciae myself. I had a pile of 1Ã 4 and 2Ã 4 to use for the rest of the fascia and rafters I had purchased myself, so they used my wood to complete the fascia job, and yet they have the nerve to overcharge me by 4k. I am a home flipper so to be fair putting and nailing a few pieces of wood that I PROVIDED, DOES NOT cost more than a few hundred dollars, let alone 50% more $$$ than the original contract. I was nice enough to offer to pay $1500 from the extra charges so I can get this problem over with, on top of the contract price, but no, they insist on the ridiculous amount of $4000. This company is freaking ruthless and very shady. And the only choice they have left me with is to take them to claims court to settle their illegal charges. Instead, what I should have gotten is a discount for having done most of the job myself, but instead, they took advantage of my desperate situation and stuck me pretty good with this SCAM. I hope nobody hires this person, so they do not have to go through, what I am going through. I wish, I would have read the reviews first, so I would have never hired them in the first place. In December 2021 I hired another company to replace my roof on my other property which is bigger in size, a bit more than 1400sqft all for under 10k, including repairs on rafters and fascia. That is Nice and stress-free.

We had our new roof installed 7-31-19 thru 8-2-19. I admit I was skeptical when we hired B. Griffith Roofing - there are quite a few negative reviews out there about them, and a few BBB complaints. But my husband, who met with all the contractors who came to give us quotes, was really impressed with Kenny C. and that's who he wanted to go with. Less than 2 weeks later, we have a fabulous new roof and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience. We had no contact with the Owner, Brent Griffith, or any of his crews, but I can wholeheartedly and without any hesitation or reservation, highly recommend Kenny C. and his crews. Kenny was extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive and friendly. Both his tear-off crew and his install crew were polite, courteous and respectful of our property. They went above and beyond in the job they did, staying until 9:00pm on Aug. 1st to finish up as rain caused several delays throughout the day, and they did a terrific job of cleaning up the yard and driveway. !!! SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO ROSA!!! You don't see a woman on a roofing crew very often - YOU GO GIRL!!! Our new roof looks wonderful and has been admired by several folks on our cul-de-sac. It rains every day in Florida this time of year, and, so far, we have not run across any potential issues cropping up. We will have continued dealings with the office staff as we finish up the payment process, and I expect that to continue to go as well as everything else has so far. Should that not be the case, I will post an updated review. For now, I want to say Thank You! to Kenny and his crews for making our roofing project, in the middle of Florida's rainy season, a very pleasant experience. Need a new roof? Hire B. The workers were the best, very hard workers and cleaned up. Would never know they had been there! They are very polite, courteous, we would highly recommend, they turned out perfectly and I would definitely hire again and recommend them.

DON'T HIRE THEM. Be very warned!!! Very inexperienced, it was raining on and off, and they didn't bring a tarp up to the roof just in case... Well, it came down hard, it stormed, by the time they went to the truck to get the tarp, it was too late. Leaked into a bedroom down the fixture, water damaged the ceiling and all that nasty water ruined carpeting as well. I immediately sent pix to owner said he would take care of it. I figured it was a squash, being I never received a bill, and the amount of damage. Next thing I know I get a phone call from Carol, saying they were going to put a lien on house for non payment. I called Carol she was rude, I even told her I would send her a CD of what I recorded and send it certified.. (worker tipping over glass bowl full of water black nasty water unto my carpet.) How black and wet my carpet was, and how much water I was able to gather in a big pot."OH no don't go through all that expense" I WAS FURIOUS! ! ! I would NOT recommend them. I could've charged them for carpeting (which I did have to replace), and fixture w/fan, tho it is working I was told you never know with water and electrical.. Curious to see if home adviser publishes negative as well as the positive. By the way, if I have mold in my attic (insulation), I'll be getting in touch with my lawyer, my husband is the one who talked me out of not charging them for the carpet , but i will have an inspector come to the house for mold inspection, and if so..... If there was a zero that's what they would get

From the quote to getting the job completed was less than 2 weeks. The crew that arrived to do the work was on time and extremely efficient. They were polite and made sure to keep things clean including sweeping the driveway once the job was done. I would recommend this company to everyone!!

Be warned - the owner does not have control over his own company and is not to be trusted. His office is run by his daughter and partner, who he admits have been the source of many customer issues. B Griffith quoted $13,500 for tile and $6,200 for a tapered system. Also, they quoted my solar installer $2000 for supports. The owner, Brent Griffith, told me on many occasions that he would inform me of and request permission for addtl charges before performing work. Work started on 5/23 in which they removed tile, put down new underlayment, and installed a tapered roof. No one mentioned any addtl work. In the process on 5/23, one of their workers put a hole in my guest room ceiling (sky visible). Brent said he would cover the repair, so I hired a drywall contractor. They also damaged the gutters on the front of my home when removing tile. There were multiple witnesses, including my solar installer, and a water mitigation company. We saw that the decking and rafter wood under the flat roof was original. Weeks went by with no mention of addtl woodwork. I discussed payment with Brent and he said I could pay with a credit card and would split the CC fee. His office manager/partner (not wife, but they live together), left me a rude voicemail accusing me of demanding to split the fee and attacking my character after they "had gone out of their way for me already". Red flag, but I told her I'd write a check if it was an issue. Tile arrived weeks later and work was completed on 6/27. On 6/28, I wrote them a check for the orig. price in full of $19,700. They cashed it and THEN sent me an email telling me there would be another invoice for woodwork. This was a surprise since the owner had told me his crew said nothing to him about woodwork. I replied w/what the owner had said, and that I would not be paying for anything I wasn't made aware of and didn't approve. They started responding with more nasty emails. Before even sending a quote for claimed woodwork, the office emailed me threatening to place a lien on my home and hold warranties & insurance docs hostage. I called Brent and he reiterated that his crew had not mentioned woodwork to him, and that he would accept the $19,700. He committed to repairing the hole in the ceiling and to repairing the gutters. The office countered what he said, with quote, "My dad said to let you know that I am handling this in the office and that you do not need to call him as he is out of it. Good cop/bad cop scam? I got my attorney involved. B Griffith's office sent me an invoice for $825 for 120' of woodwork on the tile roof and 30' of woodwork on the flat roof. I got up into my attic and did not see 120' of new wood under the tile. With the ceiling cut out of the flat roof, I could only see original wood. Gouging and dishonesty. They sent my solar installer a surprise invoice for an addtl $3800 for installing the supports. This amt was included in the Notice to Owner they sent - the basis for their lien. They claimed th

This is the 3rd time I have hired this company. They are very professional, The crew is always great and you can see that they really care about what they are doing. Also they stayed within budget! I of course will hire them again!

B.Griffith was prompt, the crew were hard workers, polite and stayed late to clean up the yard. We are extremely pleased with the finished product. Brent stayed within the estimated budget. We couldn't be more satisfied. I would highly recommend this company.
