B & J Blacktop Paving

They came out one day and did partial demo and didn't do any of the work Tim Ross hired B & J Blacktop paving to replace a concrete driveway with asphalt paving. It was started on the first week of June, and B & J has only demolished half the concrete and that is the only thing that has been done. The customer signed a contract and agreed to pay the pro $13,200. He gave him $10,000 up front. I have no driveway and no money.

They were good!

We knew our driveway need some repair work and we pointed that out to Joe when he came to quote us. When the work was complete and Joe came to get paid we pointed out the areas that were not repaired and that we weren't happy with. His response was "I just want to get paid" and he dropped his price $50 so he could just leave. We tried to get him to fix the problems as we were willing to pay the full amount, just wanted the job done right. He was not interested AT ALL at fixing the problems , in fact he started yelling at us which was totally uncalled for! DO NOT HIRE JOE ORR PAVING!!

Overall quality of job was not the best

I have never in my life felt so disrespected. Joe and his sloppy crew did an absolute terrible job on drive. Ran out of asphalt and tried to spred it out. Left it unfinished. Promised a free seal coat and never showed. Made several appointments with me, I would spent my entire day preparing the drive,garage yard ect. then no call no show. people who operate a scam like this should be shut down. Oh and his sloppy crew left empty water bottles and cigarrett butts in yard. He sent someone out to fix the end of drive but the asphalt was cold and now it looks like I have a spd bump. TERRIBLE JOB

This company came late in the afternoon without the proper tools to complete the job. They did a piss poor job on my driveway due to being not prepared, said they would come back the following week and repair what they had done. It has been over a month and they still haven't come back... or answered my phone calls/ returned my messages. The end of the driveway is falling apart, 75% of my driveway doesn't drain when it rains, its looks really bad. Never use this company!!

Aesthetically, the patching & seal coating of a driveway last fall didn't appear as expected, but I was assured it would be more acceptable with wear. 9 months later it didn't improve with use, & no response received from my concern. I would have accepted their competitor's higher, but reasonable quote to completely re-pave the drive if I had known this would be the end result.

Joe completed our driveway just as promised. His team worked hard and was focused.

Very smooth talker Joe was, promised to be their during the whole process, but after getting the money he turned and left. Was not satisfied after the job was complete, called him and he said he would be out the next day, but never showed. Kept calling him and he would ignore the phone calls so had to eventually call his Dad who is helping him get his business started. (Dad Joe has his own paving company) which then stepped in and helped get the needed problems fixed. Would recommend the Dad Joe, but the son Joe makes promises and then doesn't follow through, needs a class on customer service.

DRIVEWAY LOOKS SLOPPY

Joe Orr and the crew were great. Joe is very professional, honest and has a great overall personality. They worked with me on the price and did a great job on my driveway. They even fixed my step. I am very happy with the work they did in my driveway and everyone was very polite and friendly. I highly recommend this company.

Job was done very well. He came by in the evening to provide a quote when I could talk with him and we came to a very good price agreement. He did the work the next day.

Some sealing has pulled away from surface. Have called Joe; waiting for response. The original work was done quite well and I am truly surprised by this unfortunate occurence. Will withhold comment for now, until Joe has had sufficient time to repair or complete satisfactorily. Thank you.
