The Project was supposed to take one day at a cost of $1150-$1175. I needed to be home to allow the workers inside the locked court yard gate and inside my home to access the interior side of the doors. The job was to paint 3 doors, 2 light fixtures, 2 small tables, 4 chairs and accents on the court yard wall. All wrought iron, all black. The surfaces were all clean and readied prior to their arrival. The workers and the manager started Monday at 7:30 am and stopped at 5:30 pm. with the job only partially completed. Day two the workers returned that morning and after their lunch break one of them smelled of marijuana. I phoned the manager and made him aware. Day three and part of day four it rained, no work inside or out. Friday received a call, work to resume on Monday. Week two painting continued both inside and outside the home with ongoing issues to correctly match not only the black but the stucco as well because of poor masking and black overspray on the home exterior. Finally the job is complete and after a walk thru the worker ask for $1175. I ask him to have the Owner call me and I detail the time to complete the job, the issue with the marijuana smoker and him even returning to my home after I alerted the manager. Not to mention the Owner never having followed up with the customer. In closing I suggest he lower the bill to $1000 for my inconvenience. He suggests $1087.50 and spoke about how he was already losing money due to unexpected delays and addition material/labor costs to paint the stucco wall after the worker did not properly prepare before painting. I express that none of the delays and cost overruns were because of me and as a mater of principle and mutual respect he should try and see things as a customer and not worry about the difference of $87.50. The conversation ended with him saying he would think about it. The Project Manager called me back saying he agreed with me but the Owner wanted to be paid$1087.50. Long story short I paid the full amount and added that I could not recommend this company to anyone and would not ever use them again.

"We sincerely apologize that this was your experience. We try our very best to make all of our customers happy. We appreciate the opportunity of working on your property! As you can see in this customer s review, we agreed to go down on our pricing ONLY because of his experience and/or opinion, but because we produced quality work, he gladly paid in full. Thanks again, Mr. Roosevelt!"
