B & K was so prompt and informative. We will definitely hired him again when the need arises. He knew exactly what the problem was with our washing machine just by what we told him was happening. We also enjoyed his company.

Brian, formerly of Mr. Appliance, is superb. Second time he's worked on our dishwasher (two different problems), both times great work - efficient, fairly priced and nice personal rapport. I was extremely pleased with B&K Enterprises and with Home Advisor. Highly recommended!

Came just when he said he would, personable, efficient.

I was clear when I talked with Mr. Appliance (Brian) on the phone. I told him I had a side by side refrigerator which is 21 years old. It works, but periodically the freezer goes cool, never warm. The fridge is always fine. I did not want to waste money or time. I asked, given the age, should I just buy a new one. If he thought it could be something simple, I wanted him to took at it. He said it could be the thermostat, and that would be a cheap part if it was the compressor, would not be worth it, but it did not sound like the compressor, given my explanation. Brian came to the house, and the story changed. The cost of a thernostat repair would be $250-$350. That is not a cheap part. Then he felt the compressor and said it was warmer than average, but not too bad. I asked if there was any amp test he could do on the compressor to know. He said just feeling it. He could fix the thermostat, but it may be it or not. He was in the house a total of 5 minutes, never ran any diagnostic test, and said I owed $84 for the service fee. I just I should have known, and I guess I wasted my time and money any how. He said, on the good side, Black Friday sales are coming.Thanks for the help Brian.

The technician was quite knowledgeable and honest. By unplugging the refrigerator and letting it defrost for several days, I'd solved the problem according to him, and he was right. It's worked well ever since. All he charged was the service fee. I'd definitely recommend Mr. Appliance to any homeowner with a similar problem.

Super quick and effective repair

In this instance it was something really easy to fix. Two buttons were pushed that sent the fridge into "showroom mode". Mr Appliance could have made this a big deal, putzed around and charged me a lot more than a service call. Instead he was very informative in showing me what happened and the only charge was a service charge. He could have made that several times more than that and not given me the quick lesson about the computer icons that come up on the screens. And how not to lose a few hundred dollars of defrosting, limp and starting to smell food. He was very patient, informative, answering all my questions.

I thought I knew what was wrong with my washing machine, so when I scheduled the service event I asked him to bring along the correct factory replacement part. He did, and that broken part was exactly the problem, and the replacement part he brought with him was the exact and correct solution. All in all, he was in and done in under two hours; and his total charge was quite similar to what other area repairmen had quoted me.

I did my research on what the problem might be so that I could respond when they thought I had to junk my freezer but it really needed a fan replaced.

I was having trouble with my washer and dryer not turning on. So Mr. Appliance came and found them both to be working fine. I was a bit frustrated and still wonder why they would not start for me. Paid $84 for nothing basically.

Do not ever use Mr. Appliance of Centre County (Brian Hull) if you would like your appliances actually fixed. The only thing he accomplished was taking an $85 service charge. He put me off for over 4 months. Would not return phone calls or emails from me or my warranty company. I gave up and called another Appliance repair company and they had my dishwasher fixed in less than a week.
