Beyond the $11,200 paid for the service, I am left with many other issues that I will apparently deal with alone. I had 9 piers put in, a sidewalk replaced, and a cracked back patio redone. The time for the job was fluid and changed, not always due to weather. Overall, it took about a week longer than initially scheduled, which delayed a second contractor. ISSUES that will cost additional money 1. Paid $600 for root barrier that mysteriously cannot be located now. The owner could not locate either. 2. Two mature boxwoods died, number 1 and 3 of 5 boxwood row. Crew pulled and left exposed roots in sun uncovered du. 3. My new back porch was not tapered properly and now pools in heavy rain, a 1/2 inch deep directly against my home, a portion of which is wood. 4. Owner agreed to seal wood area to avoid damage in future. man came and ran a bead of caulk around perimeter by cement in under 15 minutes. 5. The electric line to my shed was severed during jackhammering and they repaired with wire nuts but without replacing conduit under new cement. I found conduit piece under dirt pile after job left. 6. contract was to lift and support corner of roof above back porch during repair and replace 6x6 ornamental wood post. this was not done without consultation with me causing the roof to sag slightly. 7. person came to replace post with 4x4 straight lumber. I refused. he agreed to cut prior post to fit.. I had to go purchase a bottle jack to raise roof level enough to install. Things that did not cost me money and that I don't expect issues with in the future: 8. 3 separate breakers were tripped by jackhammer use prior to crew using generator on hand. this was left for my discovery and not communicated. 9. internet cable was cut by crew shoveling.when I realized there was a problem, I went outside to see and they had to uncover the dirt on top of the cable to show me I was told they had called to fix, but the on site supervisor had zero knowledge. 10. I cleaned up about 7 or 8 empty water bottles, nails from concrete forms, gloves, a dirt pile and dried leftover concrete left by crew. 11. I was told by on site supervisor on first day after pointing out that city had not marked gas line that it was not a problem because only digging with shovels. imagine my surprise when city showed up to mark the next day after holes dug. 12. the on site supervisor sat in his truck on his phone for the entirety of the job with few exceptions. this same supervisor directly lied to me on a few occasions. 13. the contract states that their would be an engineers report and all permits. I saw neither and believe that not all required permits were obtained. GOOD STUFF there are two awesome points to this company. first is the cement crew and their supervisor. incredibly hard workers . their skill alleviated me of a drainage issue from neighbors yard. however, the new pooling on back porch is a fatal flaw overall, but the only error in a large residential cement job. if rating just the cement alone and excluding the back porch, it would have been a 4.5 due to trash and cement left behind. second is the owner I dealt with. he was incredibly personable and skilled., unfortunately, he was not the on site supervisor. he was sympathetic to the issues presented and easily contacted. however, a variety of statements as to the existence of a root barrier ( a large sheet of steel) that cannot be shown are not enough. I did not expect perfection, but neither did I expect being misled and left with the bill of additional work either created or repair the repairs done on what you broke. I wonder if your foundation guarantee is any stronger than your word.

They came out and said they could level pier and beam. I showed Breck 8 issues I needed fixed. His crew comes out and 6-7 guys go under the house and start jacking. In less than 2 hours they came out an said they were done. I walked out of the house and looked back through the kitchen and the floor was humped up between the living room and kitchen. I said showed his lead person and he made the guys go back under the house and fix it, if you want to call what they did a fix. My issues weren't fixed. I waited 2 weeks to give house time to settle. I called Back and asked them to come back because they hadn't fixed my problem. Another crew came out and worked on it again and still didn't fix my issues. The lead guy said they couldn't do the outer perimeter over the concrete beam because the house was to heavy and his paperwork said it was a re-shim and not a level. My 7 spots are not fixed and I spent a lot of money for nothing. They were here 2 hours tops and before when I've had it leveled other people have been here 2 days. Nice folks and may can do concrete slabs but I wouldn't call them for pier and beam.

I would definitely recommend B & P Foundation Repair to anyone seeking to hire someone for their foundation problems. The owner, Breck was on time for the initial appointment and took his time explaining everything as I knew nothing about foundations. Once we agreed that he would do the work, he provided the Foremanâ s name, who on the day the work began, came early, introduced himself, ensured his crew worked and cleaned up each day. They were here when they said they'd be and worked until they said they would. Breck came back after the work was completed and did a walkthrough to compare and explain any differences. He also provided tips on how to repair some cosmetic issues. The warranty the company provides is also a great deal. One of the most important things I have to say about Breck is that I felt sincerity and honesty when speaking with him. I trusted him as this was a big investment and the first time I'd experienced something like this since I'm from the Midwest and we don't normally have this type of issue. I know I could have gotten the job completed for a little bit cheaper but I want to know the person I work with will stand behind their work, and I honestly believe Breck will. With that being said, I do feel, I received what I paid for. If youâ re having foundation problems and looking for a company, look no further. B & P Foundation Repair is who you should hire. Trust me, if I weren't satisfied, you'd definitely know about it...Thanks Breck and B & P Foundation. You made this uneasy and nervous experience a positive one for me. Kudos to you and your company!!!
