JES Foundation Repair (A Groundworks Company) proposed a solution for my basement wall reinforcement, and waterproofing. I accepted, and a date was set. They did not show up and it took 8 phone calls and 24 hours to find out that they weren't confident in their proposal. They increased the scope and added 50% to the cost. Stupidly, I signed again as time was wasting and I didn't want to start over with new vendors. JES completed the work while I was out of town. When I got back, there had been heavy rain and there was more water in my basement then I had ever experienced. I contacted my rep via text (impossible to get through by phone as he always was in "Training" when I called). His response was " That doesn't look good, I'll make some calls". I had to make the calls. JES sent several new employees out and they proposed additional work at ADDITIONAL cost. Unable to get satisfaction from mgmt. Had another foundation company finish the job. Do not use!

AFS came to do my crawlspace drainage. The guys did a great job, they were very polite, they cleaned up nicely, too. I was especially impressed by the way they treated my family and respected my home. The service was great, and I love the lifetime warranty and the fact that it will transfer to a new owner if I sell the home. This increased the value of my home, the quality of our air, and the health of my family. Special thanks to the crew: Nikoli E, Clay G, and Tyler M. Also, the communication and information I received from the sales rep, Garret G, were professional and precise. I got three companies to quote this, and AFS gave me the best options to choose from, the best prices, and the best warranty. Let me save you some time and trouble, call AFS first. You won't be sorry!

Left crawl space a mess, vapor barrier was not pulled against foundation, left trash in crawl space, knock dryer vent loose didn't reconnect. I'm an older guy so I trusted them, never do that again, over sold me on what I needed, crawl space had minimal signs of water seepage sold me 2 pumps when one was sufficient. Text sales person on 4/23 with issues haven't heard a word.

The inspector appeared professional and helpful. However, the foreman and crew is not very responsive leaving us with a dug out basement with no solution and no communication at all. We signed the contract in June, 2024, expecting the work to commence in September. The job was delayed till December. The crew came and removed the dry wall on the first day. On the third day, the supposed last day of the job, the crew informed us that we would have to remove the sewer pipe completely so they can continue the work, which should have been communicated the first day they discovered the position of the sewer line. Not to mention the potential of such outcome should have been included in the contract as the location of the sewer line was measured and included in the job drawing. Days later, we are left with a dug out basement with pooling ground water. No communication & attempt to finish the job. We are considering legal actions and plead everyone not to fall for the this bait and switch.

After posting the previous review, we were contacted by AFS and we came to a mutually agreeable resolution.

Buyer beware. Had problems with the crew that they sent to do job. Salesman and supervisor were hard to deal with. This company caused me a lot of anxiety. Possible legal action.

Absolutely do not do business with this company. The repair was not performed on time, the crew did not arrive at designated days or times, and the “repair” doesn’t even stop the basement water issues I have. Seemingly, they do the same “repair” for all circumstances, regardless of where the true issues are coming from. $8K+ in repair cost, and completely not worth what I was charged. This is only the tip of the iceberg, Their work crew unplugged my chest freezer that was full of meat, and totally ruined all of the food. This is over $1,000 at purchase price and cost of the freezer itself, let alone te fact that I am going to have to deal with disposing of everything and cleaning the freezer. I am almost two months+ of them agreeing to reimburse me and still nothing. No one wants to take ownership, no one wants to call back, and it takes multiple call attempts just to get someone on the phone that won’t just say “I’ll pass the message along”. Caveat emptor

If you’re looking for work done the right way. AFS is who to call. I had an emergency repair needing done on UTC campus and that day Mike came out and gave a quote and scheduled service that day. And let me tell you when the Mattgican ( Matthew Martin) and the Parrbear ( Parris Houchins) showed up on the job ( exactly when scheduled) they went straight to work and did such a fantastic job explaining what they were doing and why I knew I made the right choice in calling AFS. If half of their employees are as nice and hard working as those guys anyone they send will be top knotch. Fantastic job guys. You made my day a lot better. Great company don’t hesitate to call them. I’d give them 10 stars!!! Won’t be calling anyone else!!

I got my basement waterproofed in January 2023 paid $16K for it & I had to call them twice already because still getting water in the basement not only that but this machine has been beeping consistently every 2-3 seconds because it needs service I called them to come out to resolve the matter but have to wait a whole month for someone to come out! For me to pay $16K to get horrible service & still go through the water issue is not good at all!!!

Workers on the actual job could not fulfill the salesmanâ s promise of work that they could accomplish I sill have a gap in my pool deck

Salesman seemed knowledgeable and took order and deposit. Technicians came and did no work because they said work sold to me was not appropriate to solve problem. I called vendor to request refund last week. They were supposed to call back. I have not yet received refund

Mike was very transparent and explained the work he needed to do. He also answered all of our questions and cleaned up his mess quite well.
