Nice people, but I think the son or young apprentice was trying to do the project and he needed to get help for parts of the vanity and light install.

I understand perfectly where Toni M is coming from, when rating Back In The Holler. I also can sympathize with her for trying to communicate with HomeAdvisor and getting absolutely nowhere. I hired Back In The Holler possibly a year and a half ago to do a kitchen remodel. The results were disastrous, very amateurish. Back In The Holler in their feeble attempts to remodel did considerable damage to existing appliances and caused more damage than doing anything positive. There was also a communication problem with Back In The Holler. Either JK (the person who did most of the work) had extreme emotional problems; and or was on kind of mind altering drug. JK always appeared to be spaced out. If he was told to do something he could not remember and had to be reminded again and again. It was like baby sitting a 5-year-old. JK was also taking off time besides when I speak of taking of time I mean working a couple of hours a day and then showing up when he felt like it. When confronted JK would get his father involved to try to smooth things over. After Back In The Holler was out of here, the kitchen looked worse than before. I took legal action to no avail. Back In The Holler used bogus addresses and when summonsed by the courts never showed up for the hearing. Consequently, I got a judgement against Back In The Holler but for all practical purposes its worthless. Back In The Holler is always on the run. Back In The Holler s bank account cannot be verified, neither can documentation by the State Ohio that Back In The Holler are properly licensed and can conduct business. If you think I am making this up - All this is public record. All one has to do is contact the courts. There are also photographs available with dates showing the sloppy workmanship and damage done by Back In The Holler. Again all this is public record. In addition, the Better Business Bureau has a complete file on Back In The Holler which backs up everything I say here. In short Back In The Holler is bad news, which brings us back to ground 0.

First of all, let me say that I wrote a review about 6 months ago and I believe BITH somehow was able to delete it because it was never, to my knowledge ever published - anyway, this was without a doubt one of the absolute worst experiences I have ever had - they gave me a slipshod contract that stated their fee and said everything was included - when I questioned what was included they got very nasty and said sarcastic things like, do you really want us to count every screw and nail that we use? - this job was to be finished in October 2018 and in July 2019 still was not finished - we go to Florida for the winter and chose BITH because they assured us that they would have the job completed before we left on Nov 1 - we had to leave, and they were nowhere near completion - we came back early from Florida, in April, and they assured me that they would be at the house on May 01, 2019, to finish the job - got an email saying they could not come -why? - because they had outside work to do because the weather was good, and they could not waste their time working inside- but we had a contract which they were now calling null and void, and then they requested another amount of money to get started with the finish up which they would only do when the weather was inclement, and they could not work outside - my husband was very ill, and I was trying to get the job finished so that if I had high medical bills to pay I could sell the house - phooey - they could not have cared less - I begged and begged - I was at the bottom of their work ladder and very definitely being treated like a 2nd class citizen - I should have contacted an attorney for elder abuse - I am 80 years old and my husband 82 - I could write verse and chapter about this horrible company but what is the point - I had to call in another company to undo and redo most of the work - the painting job was so terrible that it had to be completely redone - ceilings, walls and floor - the electrical is terrible with outlets hanging off the walls - they changed the light switch in the storage room so that it is on the other side of the house?- I wanted a library ladder, which they said was included in the cost - oh, it was included alright - they built it out of scrap wood and there is no possible way to stand on it because the slats are all cracked - they started to make me pay extra fees for their mistakes - they bought the wrong doors and then said that it was my fault - in this case, I have it right in the contract which doors should have been installed, but they still called me a liar and, yes, they used the word liar - they said I lied about having the support post covered - I have covering of the post shown in the contract also - they kept blaming their mistakes on misunderstandings - it just goes on and on - the word was also thrown around - in June I started begging them to please finish the job due to my husband medical condition and the prospect of having to sell the house - they basically told me to take a flying leap - at this juncture, I had no choice other than to tell them to take their job and shove it so there would be no misunderstandings - and, yes I am sorry to say that was the way I phrased it because they could not seem to get things right - they managed to get this right though - I incurred considerable cost having the job redone and I would not wish my situation on anyone - I do not know who these folks are that are posting the rave reviews - it makes me wonder if these are legitimate reviews - only saying -as you can see, my situation was a horrible mess - I only hope that I have been able to save you from a disaster - if anyone wants to contact me, HomeAdvisor can notify me and I can.

I've used them twice and find their quality of work to be VERY GOOD. They were prompt and completed the work as they said they would. On both occasions that I used them though, I was left to clean up way more than i would have expected for the money invested. Maybe an unintentional oversight - I'm not sure. I would absolutely use them again however, and would certainly recommend them to others

They were prompt and did what they said they were going to do. Very pleased! Will reach out to them for other projects.

The work was good. The only thing I would have changed is the material used. I would have liked a heavier wood used for the step. The material used is very light and thin. It looks great but I wouldn't be surprised it would fail not too far in the future.

The job was not done just ok

The guys were very friendly, and got everything done I asked for. I am very pleased with the end products. They did leave some messes for me to clean up, but other than that I am very happy with their work. Their price is also very reasonable!

We were very pleased with the quality of the work. They both were very nice and respectful. They are a little hard to get in contact with. It may be a few days delay before receiving a response to an email or call. But again once the project was started they arrived when they said they would and worked efficiently. We would use them again.

I will recant some issues, I would think twice about hiring them for painting,all other work was satisfactory, They have a lot learn about painting! I take some blame, I should have watched better.

The fence install was beautiful and the guys were accessible and helpful. I needed to make a change and they willingly did it. The only issue was that there were at least 4 steel posts that were not removed with the chain link fence. 3 were in places that could have caused injuries so I had to remove them. I will contact them again when I need my deck rebuilt but will be more specific next time with my service request.

I hired Joel to drywall the kitchen and we had a few problems with them, they did not cover anything and I have drywall dust everywhere, didn't leave expansion gaps between floor and drywall, broke a water supply line and 3 days later it is still leaking, bumped the stove top with material and I smell burning plastic and the knob is on high on, they refused to clean up everyday after the work and we had too clean ourselves, the owner came by and he said that I am not leaving until you pay me and he refused to finish

The price was right Arrived early. Completed the work in in a timely manor. Both are a credit to their profession.I will use their services again and recommend to family and friends.

Hired Dylan to mount a tv. Very prompt to reply, came on time. Did a good job.

Gave us a fair quote. Showed up on time. Quickly got all of the work done we wanted, and they cleaned up to make the work area look better than it was when they started. We will use these guys again. Hard workers; fair price.

They made numerous mistakes on the projects that we asked them to do. We had to request they correct the mistakes they made. Some mistakes were not corrected at all.
