I thought the owner was very polite and knew what needed to be done. The crew that sealed our foundation and dug a french drain were quick,and cleaned up nicely.

The project took more than a week longer to complete than I was promised. The completion date was a large part of my decision when comparing bids, so this was a huge irritant. I also was told that I could pay with a credit card, but when I was asked for the 2nd half of the total, I was suddenly told that they could not accept credit cards and I must pay cash/check - I hadn't budgeted for spending cash on this, so that was a bit of an irritant as well. The materials are nice. The workmanship is good. The final product is good.

They did a wonderful job. Due to other circumstances the work took slightly longer than initially described. Overall I am very satisfied.

Backyard Basics built a new deck. The work was exquisitely done. I didn't know what I wanted, however, I knew what I didn't want. I now have a second story deck that is structurally more sound than the last one and very good looking. Suggestions made along the way were perfect for the job. The jobsite was very organized. The cleanup was immaculate. The entire job exceeded any and all expectations and I do not feel that I could have gotten the attention to detail and craftsmanship elsewhere for the same price. I believe I got an excellent value with Backyard Basics. I will use them again for other home improvement projects and recommend them highly!

Very complex job involving a lot more than just a retaining wall. Personnel were very courteous, and cleanup was impeccable. Job was competitively priced, and professionally done, with great attention to detail. Jim Ramirez was very good about talking to me about what I wanted, and making sure things were done right. Nothing but professional... especially considering the weather's whim! Even w/o the supervisor on deck, the crewman were very courteous and remained flexible to our modified plans. At the beginning of the project, Jim envisioned our idea; meeting and even exceeding our expectations. One of a kind!
